What the hell was wrong with him?

He had lost control again. She had kissed him over and over again and he had let her. When she left his cabin, all he could do was smile at her receding figure. God. At that moment, all he wanted to do was run after her, trap her between his arms and the door and then kiss her to his heart's content.

He told himself that this reaction was what every red-blooded male would have. She was a woman, a pretty one at that. He couldn't let his desire and lustful thoughts decimate his plan. This revenge meant everything to him and he knew he would feel satisfied in the end.

Life was giving him a second chance. How many people got a second chance? Very less. He was fortunate enough. Vera had come dashing in his life, Eva was working for him and he had her right where he wanted her; she was powerless in front of him, she had already started liking him. He could feel it. He could feel it by the way she looked at him, her eyes mushy and soft, the way her she bit her lower lip in order to control the unsophisticated noises caught at the back of her throat, the way her skin got hot and warm, her voice all needy and soft.

She liked him, alright.

His reminiscence of her ways made his crotch tighten. There we go again, he mused, as he sat down on his chair.

His phone rang loudly and it was Rich. "Hey, what's up?" He tried to maintain his otherwise cheerful voice.

"Jean wants everyone to come for breakfast tomorrow at our house." His second eldest brother said in a straight voice.

"Alright..." Vivian trailed. "And--why's that?"

"Because she wants it, Viv! There's no other way about it! She wants it, and we gotta give it to her! Apparently, pregnancy can make a woman damm scary and authoritative! So, you have no option."

Vivian didn't wanna argue with his brother. Rich already seemed super stressed. It was a good thing, actually. Richard Hamilton had always been the calmest and the coolest of the brothers, his brain was always on chill mode and he seldom stressed or became angry. After Jean had become pregnant, Rich had taken such good care of her, tending to her needs and now, he did get stressed and anxious many of the times which really suited him.

"Okay. I wouldn't wanna make Jeanie unhappy."

"Yes. And please bring that girl...that Eva. Jean has requested her presence too." Rich bellowed and then cut the call on his face.

Wow.

His family was giving him more opportunities to take Eva out. It was good that he was getting chances to bring her close to him, however, he didn't wanna involve the family into this. He actually dreaded his brothers knowing about his revenge plan. He didn't know how the Hamilton family would react to him behaving like a vindictive bastard.

Was that what he was?

A vindictive bastard.

But who would pay for all his sufferings? Who would pay for breaking his heart so cruelly? Who would pay for his fallen reputation and all those disgusting glances that were thrown in his way?

Who would pay for making his University experience pathetic and sad?

The only woman responsible for his downfall was Eva. The same Eva who now worked for him, who didn't even remember him or maybe, was acting like she didn't remember him. She had destroyed his life, his image and reputation through one single phone call, she had snatched away the love of his love, she had given him two years worth of silent pain and agony that he had been forced to bear alone, unable to share with his family.
