(CW: Talk of losing loved ones, brief description of injuries)
Solaris and Luminix had been told that Pulsar and Eclipse had created a gigantic masterpiece. The garden looked incredible and told the two that would go out and see if there's anything that they could grab for said project. While doing so, the two chatted about various topics, whether that be newfound interests, creating projects of their very own or dimension hoppings, or whatever came to their minds.
While walking, a flash of light came in front of them from a distance. The two glanced at each other, and Luminix sprinted to where it came from, Solaris following closely behind. The two continued to sprint until they got to a decent sized crater in their world. Solaris was about to be pissed until they saw Luminix staring in shock, sliding down in the crater, and cradling something.
Solaris, too, slid down to see what was going on and found out that Luminix was cradling another variant; who was currently unconscious and injured. Their outfit consisted of black pants that were flared, a big black ribbon across their torso, and a red crop top. Around their neck was a black bandana, and they were wearing dark red gloves.
Their outfit were full of tears, and their glasses were cracked, rays dangling by a few wires.
Luminix looked up in worry and spoke. "Sol..." Luminix whispered.
Solaris broke out of their trance, and their demeanor turned in a determined one. "Let's get them back to the house." Solaris said, about to carry the unconscious variant, right before Luminix picked them up bridal style with little to no effort.
Solaris looked in surprise. "You never told me you had so much strength." Solaris crossed their arms, slightly offended.
Luminix smiled and shrugged. Solaris shrugged back and helped ver and the variant out of the crater, and the two ran back to the house, Luminix being careful of the variant's state.
_________________________________Once the two got the variant in a comfortable space, Luminix went to tell the others while Solaris stayed back to take care of said variant. He scanned the others body and conjured up some materials to help with the injuries. Solaris grabbed some medical scissors and began to cut the ribbon when the variant stirred a little, wincing in pain.
"L... Lunar..." the variant moaned out.
Solaris stared and slowly cut the rest of the ribbon, slowly and carefully sliding out from underneath the variant's back. Solaris raised the scissors up to the variant's shirt and stopped when they stirred again, sucking in a harsh breath and eyes snapping opened, breathing heavily and eyes darting back and forth and stopping right on Solaris.
"Who... who are you? Why... why do you look like me? Where am I? Why -" the variant was about to sit up but let out a small yell and was promptly laid back down. "Fuck..." the variant hissed.
"Hey, relax. I can answer you, but you need to stay still. You're injured." Solaris said bluntly. The variant looked at him with a questionable look and nodded.
Solaris sighed and put the scissors down. "You just... I guess crash landed here, you could say. Me and another variant saw a flash of light and ran to where it was. We found you in a crater and you were injured. We brought you here so we could help you." Solaris explained.
The other nodded and exhaled. "Ok... well, why do you look like me?" Solaris was about to reply but was cut off. "Wait... you're from another dimension." the variant pointed.
"Yeah. Yeah, I am. There's... other versions of us here, too. Others that lost their dimension and the people that they love are... are gone. Previously, it was me, Pulsar, and Eclipse... now it's us, Luminix, Paradox, and Solar Flare." Solaris explained.
The other looked extremely confused. "Ooookkk. Uh... I know you... kind of. And, obviously, the original Eclipse... the original us? I don't know, but what about the others?" the other asked.
"So, me... in my dimension, I was a mechanic, my Sun and Moon were..." Solaris paused. "They were not the same. Pulsar was a lord in theirs, Luminix was a servant to vers Lunar, and Eclipse... well, think of a problem, child, but things went haywire. Heh." Solaris let out an awkward chuckle.
The other hummed and sighed, rubbing their eyes, wincing a bit. "Ok... well then... what about Paradox and Solar Flare?" the variant asked.
Solaris chuckled. "Solar Flare is Eclipse's significant other, and Paradox is another version of Solar Flare; that Pulsar created because they wanted company, but Paradox is developing feelings for Pulsar... heh. It's cute." Solaris smiled.
The variant slowly nodded and bit their lip. Solaris took notice and clasped their hands together. "So, can I continue helping you? Like I said, you're pretty injured." Solaris asked.
"Yeah. Go ahead." the variant said, letting Solaris pick back up about the scissors and cut open their clothes, placing a blanket over their lower half. Solaris looked up as he continued to work.
"So... what do you prefer to be called? Since we all can't be called the same name now that the household's growing." Solaris said.
"Vesper." the other replied.
"Gotcha. Any pronouns that we should be aware of." Solaris asked.
Vesper pondered on that thought for a moment before replying. "Ze/hir/hirs." Vesper replied.
"Cool... Vesper..." Solaris said, grabbing some wipes to clean the oil, and Vesper hummed.
"What exactly happened? Last one we had was Luminix. You took quite a fall." Solaris said.
Vesper bit hir lip and hesitated. Solaris noticed how uncomfortable that question made hir, so they decided to drop it. "You don't need to reply now. I know I'm just a 'stranger's technically, so you don't need to answer so fast." Solaris reassured.
Vesper nodded. "I rather wait. I also rather to earn trust between all of us." Vesper stated.
"Fair." Solaris replied, numbing up a few open woulds to sew them close. "These injuries are going to take a while to heal." Solaris muttered.
"I could use the star." Vesper stated.
Solaris looked at hir and sighed. "You could. But, it'll fuck up the healing process, let alone your normal process to heal. Besides, these are too fresh. Too soon to know what it'll do." Solaris sighed again.
Vesper rolled hir eyes a bit but didn't protest, letting Solaris continue to do his work.
__________________________________It took an hour to dress the wounds, and within that hour, Vesper met Luminix; who ze had to admit, was quite a joy to be around. The three continued to chat even after Solaris was done until Solaris said that Vesper should most likely rest up.
Luminix pouted, only to be reassured by Vesper that it'll be alright and can come in once ze was awake again and can help with said healing process. That cheered up Luninix and told hir to rest up nicely, leaving Solaris and Vesper alone.
"You said ve were a servant previously by ver Lunar?" Vesper asked, glancing between Solaris and the door.
"Yeah..." Solaris sighed. "Ver still trying to get out of that servant mindset." Solaris muttered.
Vesper hummed and nodded. Solaris spoke again. "Well, I'll let you rest up. Ok?" Solaris asked, getting a nod from Vesper. "Ok... see ya later." Solaris said, both waving at each, and Vesper watched as Solaris left.
Vesper looked up towards the ceiling and sighed to hirself. "I miss you... Sun... Lunar... Hopefully, you two are in a better place." Vesper whispered, sleep taking over hir.
