Why was he here? Shouldn't Zdeno be on the ice and practice? Shock and confusion was written all over his face. If I was in his position, I would be too. Zdeno looked over at Tyler, "You. Go." Zdeno pointed to the door.
Tyler looked at me and smirked. "I guess I have to get back to practice." He bowed his head towards my face and shared a quick kiss.
Tyler got up from the bench and left the room. Zdeno eyed him as he made his way out of the change room. His attention darted to me. "What are you thinking, Olivia!" Zdeno yelled, his anger rattled me. "You tell me that you love Dougie and hate Tyler. The next thing I know, you're skipping practice with Tyler to make out in a change room!" he bellowed.
"Chara I'm-"
I cut myself off when I noticed Milan stuck his head through the door. Has he been there the whole time? "Captain Chara is giving Olivia a talking to... I never thought that would happen. What'd you do?" he asked.
I opened my mouth to reply to him. However, Zdeno cut me off before I had the chance. "She was making out with Tyler; when both of them should have been out on the ice... Practicing." He irately said.
"Chara, I'm sorry. Are you happy?" I questioned.
"No! You should never trust Tyler! He's a liar with persuasive skills," he muttered.
"Chara-" I looked over at the door and at Milan's face, still peeking through the change room door. "Milan, if you wouldn't mind... could you leave us?" I asked.
"Milan, shoo."
Milan rolled his eyes and left the door. "Olivia, I'm going to be nice this one time; I won't tell anybody about what went on in here. You just have to promise one simple thing." He told me.
"What is it?" I queried.
"When we go to Winnipeg to play the Jets. Don't you dare talk to Tyler; only talk to him when you have to. When you do, be rude... He played with your feelings, don't start getting feelings for him," recommended Zdeno.
"Chara, I swear I won't talk to Tyler unless I have to. When I do have to talk to him, I'll be discourteous. I promise." I assured him.
"You better promise... If you don't, I'm not kidding; I will tell your uncle about what happened," he told me.
I nodded. "I understand Chara."
My gaze shifted to the ground, silence surrounded both Zdeno and I. "Olivia, I'll allow you to take the day off... To think about what's going on in your life. To get your shit together."
I laughed, that must have been the first time I've actually heard Zdeno swear. "Thanks, I promise Chara, nothing like this will ever happen again." I stated.
"It better not happen again."
Zdeno left the change room, I stayed in there for a while; thinking about little things. I hauled myself up from the bench; I walked to my change room and changed from my skates into my boots. I hung my gloves up and set my stick on the bench.
I left the arena and took a cab home. The cab driver was really nice... He was a crazed Bruins fan. I didn't dare to tell him about what I did for a living and who I worked alongside with. I would probably have to get a restraining order.
When I arrived home, I worked on some school work. After being at home for half an hour and working on my homework for five minutes; there was a knock on the door. I got up and opened the door. Patrice, Brad, Andrew, Nathan, Chris, and Shawn were on the front step.
I furrowed my eyebrows with confusion. "What are you all doing here?" I asked.
"Practice ended," stated Andrew.
"So we decided to come over here." Chris told me.
"Milan told us what happened in the change room during practice between you and Tyler so we decided-" Nathan got cut off.
"To stage an intervention for you!" cheered Brad.
"An intervention?" I questioned. "I don't have an addiction to anything." I told them all.
"Sure," commented Patrice.
I didn't know what they were talking about. I didn't have an addiction, I didn't have a problem. I wasn't a hoarder. I usually understand them... Now, I'm totally lost. "What is my 'addiction' because I clearly don't know." I told them.
"C'mon, you know what's going on." Nathan playfully pushed me.
I shook my head. "Guys, I think she actually doesn't know what is going on," whispered Andrew.
"You think?" I sassed.
"How about you invite us in and we'll explain everything. I promise." Andrew told me.
I looked around the group of Bruins players on my front step. I sighed. "Sure, come on in. Take a seat. Does anyone want anything? Water? Ice Tea?" Brad opened his mouth to say something. "No Brad, no beer."
"Why?" groaned Brad.
I laughed, everyone declined their request. Good, I really didn't want to get them drinks. I took a seat in the middle of the couch that held three people. Shawn sat on my right, Patrice sat on my left. Everyone founds chairs and couch seats to sit on. Either than Brad, who decided would sit on the ground. "So what's this about?" I asked.
"Olivia, you have a problem," stated Chris.
"I would love it if someone told me about my problem so I knew what everyone was talking about." I told them.
They looked around each other. "I'll tell her," suggested Nathan. "You have a problem about knowing your feelings with Tyler," he told me.
"You don't know where you stand... You either hate him or are kissing him," added Andrew.
"But this was one time." I noted. "I'm not going to go and kiss him after this. It was a onetime thing, I promise." I assured them.
"That's what you say now," pointed out Brad.
"Brad has a point. He'll use his Seguin persuasion powers to make you kiss him again. You can't go and kiss him; especially since you're dating Dougie." Patrice told me.
"You're dating Dougie?" asked Nathan.
"Where have you been? Liking under a rock?" questioned Brad.
"To be fair, I don't really spend a lot of time talking to Dougie... Or Olivia. So I don't really know what goes on in their life." Nathan defended.
"That's still no excuse!" Brad yelled back at him.
"Is this still about me? Or is it now about how Nathan knew nothing about my relationship with Dougie?" I questioned.
Shawn raised his hand, "I also didn't know that you and Dougie were dating," he stated.
"How about, I leave all of you; so you can figure out the problems that you all are facing right now." I decided.
I left them and walked up a flight of stairs. I walked into my room and took my phone out. There were a couple of texts from Dougie; there were a dozen texts from Tyler. I sighed, why was Tyler so obsessed with me?
I heard the front door open and close. I heard muffled voices and cheering. "NHL '12!" I heard Brad yelled... He's going to lose to everyone.
