My day started to get better; Lynn made me a waffle after she heard me complain about how hungry I was. Freddie apologized to Kennedi… I watched it un-fold… It was beautiful, I guess. Freddie gushed over and over again about how cute a couple that Dougie and I made. That guy is quite the character.

We had lunch, Kennedi stayed to eat with us. Kennedi was quite the conversationalist… But she had a sweet voice that you couldn’t get tired of! Forget Freddie saying that Dougie and I are a cute couple! Freddie and Kennedi are the definition of cute!

They were like an old couple… But young. You get what I’m trying to say. They have a true genuine love that you couldn’t ignore. Dougie and I spent the afternoon in his room, just talking, laughing, and cuddling. That’s it.

That’s all we did.

Trust me.

Back to current times, Lynn, Dougie, Freddie, Doug and I just finished our supper. I was starting to get comfortable with Dougie’s family. There was nothing to be worried about. They were nice and friendly people; no wonder Dougie turned out the way he is.

Dougie and Freddie went up to get changed into their suits because women go crazy bout’ a sharp dressed man. You can never get enough of ZZ Top… Or Duck Dynasty. I tried to persuade Lynn to let me help her with the dishes. She turned me down. I was fine with that.

I actually didn’t want to do the dishes.

I went upstairs to get my phone. Dougie’s door was closed, I knocked lightly. In no time flat, he came and opened the door. He had his dress pants on but didn’t have a dress shirt, “You can finish changing if you live,” I suggested.

Dougie shook his head, “It’s fine. I have pants on,” he flashed me a smile.

I walked into his room, “I was just going to grab my phone.” I told him as I rummaged through my purse. I swear it weighed more than I did. I was getting some serious muscles.

“Then you can stay and help me with my tie… You know how bad I am at tying them.” Dougie reminded me.

“If some stranger saw you tying your tie… They will never un-see it,” I chuckled.

“There’s a difference between teasing and hurting. That stabbed me in the heart.” Dougie lied.

“If a director saw that performance… He’ll never un-see it,” I joked.

“Yeah I know I’m terrible at acting… That’s why I’m not an actor.” He pointed out.

I smiled, “I could tell.”

Dougie started to put his dress shirt on, followed by his jacket. He held his tie and looked at me. That’s my cue. I walked over to him and tied his tie. I still find it weird that Dougie can’t tie his own tie.

I finished trying it, making sure everything was perfection, “It’s fine… Stop messing it up!” He yelled.

“I learned that a messed up tie is a messed up guy. You’re not messed up, so your tie shouldn’t be either,” I argued.

He rolled his eyes and I continued to make it perfect, “Are you done yet?” Dougie asked impatiently.

“Just about,” I told him as I put the finishing touches on his tie. I let go and let my arms fall to my side, “There, now you look spiffy,” I smiled.

“You should call me spiffy more often,” decided Dougie. “I like it.”

I looked up and saw Dougie smiling down at me, I loved his smile… It’s so amazingly perfect. Dougie just knew how to make my heart flutter. Dougie wrapped his arms around me, making my heart flutter even more. If he didn’t anything more… I think my heart may explode.
