Everyone moved their way into the living room and sat down at one of the couches, most likely next to their boyfriend or girlfriend. I was the lone person that couldn't show affection to anyone next to them. I was alone in a chair that I had to get from the kitchen.
"I think we all know the reason why we are all here today," Ryan spoke up.
"Did someone die?" Joel questioned. Everyone looked at him. "Hey, Ryan sounded depressed. Why else would he be upset?" he asked.
Ryan rolled his eyes. "Whatever. The real reason is to help Dougie because his heart still hurts." Ryan patted his chest. "He thinks what he saw was right but... he's probably wrong. So I decided that we would debate about this pressing subject," Ryan explained.
"I know that Dougie is right," Brett said. Arianna looked appalled by his response and hit him in the chest which caused me to laugh. "What was that for?" he asked Arianna.
Arianne shook her head at Brett. "You're only saying that because he's on your team," she pointed out.
"Yeah," Kayleigh agreed.
"Okay then we'll do this Saviour style. We put names in a bowl and the first name to be picked three times is right," Ryan suggested.
"That is pointless," I commented.
Ryan gave me a sympathetic look. "I'll let you read out the names if you want."
I rolled my eyes and shrugged my shoulders. "Sure, let's do this."
Ryan stood up and went into the kitchen; he came back with a bowl. Brett was ripping sheets of paper up and handed them out to everyone. Joel found pens and pencils somewhere and handed them out to everyone. Ryan sat down in his seat and laid the bowl in his lap. "Ryan, where did you get pasta?" Kayleigh answered.
"Dougie's mom made some, she handed a bowl to me and I took it. I made the pasta you know." Everyone's eyes were on the bowl of pasta.
I stood up from my seat and walked into the kitchen. "I'm guessing everyone wants some?" my mom asked.
I nodded as she shoved a bowl into my hands. I grabbed a fork and walked back into the living room. "You too!" Brett yelled.
"You can go get a bowl if you really want," I told them all.
They all stood up and walked out of the living room and into the kitchen. They all came back into the living room with their bowls and forks. My mom appeared with an un-impressed look on her face. "What does everyone say?" she inquired.
"Thank you Mrs. Hamilton," they said in sync.
My mom smiled and went back into the kitchen. "So are we going to get this started or what?" Ryan questioned.
"Sure, get writing." Ryan and Brett took their bowls and sat down on the steps and wrote there. Everyone else wrote a single word answer while Ryan and Brett seemed to write a paragraph.
Ryan and Brett eventually came back and placed their decisions on the table. "I'm getting more pasta," Ryan announced. He came back moments later after telling my mom, "Thank you."
I walked over to the table and grabbed all the pieces of paper in my hand; I went back to my seat and sat down in it. I set my pasta on the table and picked up the first piece of paper. "Okay, the first sheet says: Olivia. It's girly writing too, there's no doubt that a girl wrote it," I told them.
"Good investigating, Sherlock," Joel complimented.
"Thanks."
"So one point for Olivia," Kayleigh spoke up.
