The winter ball

A/N: this chapter is inspired by that one Audio so if you recognise it that I just wanna say that the idea for it was not mine.

Regulus pov:

I arrive outside the Rawenclaw common room 10 minutes before the winter ball starts. Me and my friend Holly Whitlock are going together, but only as friends. She came out of the common room after I had waited about five minutes. She was wearing a beautiful blue and sparkly dress, that went all the way down to her feet. He hair was loose (which was new).
I looked just like every other boy at the moment. A black tuxedo, with a black tie and white shirt.

"You look amazing." I said as she walked out the common room and headed over to me.

"Thanks I think I look amazing too. And so do you." She says as she puts her arm under mine.

We walk to the great hall where to winter ball is being hosted. A lot of people are already there, and everyone is talking, dancing and having fun. Barty and Evan is here too. As soon as they see us they immediately walk over to us.

"Regulus there you are, we have been looking for you everywhere." Barty says.

"Sorry bout that. By the way this is my friend Holly."

Both the boys already know Holly but I have never introduced her to them. Both Evan and Barty politely shake hands with as her they introduce themselves. Then Pandora and her date Xenophilius. Pandora and Holly is already close friends, so Pandora introduces Xenophilius to her, even tho they already are familiar with each other.

We talk for a while and joke around having fun. Then all the griffendors starts to arrive. Remus and Sirius together. Marlene and Dorcas also arrive toghether holding hands. Regulus and Dorcas is already friends so he knew that she and Marlene was dating.
Peter Pettigrew and Mary McDonald doesn't seem to have anyone to go with as they both arrive without any dates. And then James and Lily arrive.

Lily is wearing a green dress that fits her red hair. James is wearing a black tuxedo like everyone else. It's suits him.

About all the students of hogwarts is here now. The great hall is filled with people dancing and laughing with their dates and friends. A slow dance song starts to play.

"Shall we?" I ask Holly in a weird accent that makes her laugh.

"We most definitely shall." She replies as she takes me hand and I follow her to the dance floor. We dance in the rhythm of the slow music. I see Pandora and Xenophilius joining the dance floor, and Barty and Evans does so to.
I also see the griffendor group moving to y dance floor. I see James and Lily move to the dance floor. I keep looking over at them every chance I get even tho I know it's weird and inappropriate. I see James whisper into Lily's ear. It's something that makes her laugh and he laughs to. At the end of the dance he pulls her into a kiss. People starts cheering on them as she kisses him back. I just stare at them. I don't even know why I'm not clapping like everyone else. James is my friend and I should be happy for him, but I'm not.

"Are you okay, Regulus?" Holly asks me. She apparently noticed that something was wrong with me.

"Uh yea I'm fine." I response and give her a little smile.

"Wanna get some punch?" I ask ask her trying to make her think of something else than me.

She agrees and we walk over to a table with snacks and drinks. Barty, Evan, Pandora and Xenophilius is over there too, and Barty, Evan and Pandora all gives me a sympathetic look and keep staring at me.

"Why are you staring at me?"  I ask.

"James just kissed Lily." Says Pandora.

"Well we know-."

"Know what." I interrupt her so she stops talking.

"We know you like James." Pandora says.

I'm silent. What the hell...

"Me in love with James fucking Potter" No fucking way."

No one says anything. I feel bad now for yelling and cursing at them, but they shouldn't start talking about that. I mean yes, James is amazing and he looks amazing. But I could never be more than a friend to him.

After the party ends Dorcas comes over to me.

"Wanna get drunk in my dorm? Evan, Barty and Pandora is coming to."

I actually don't really want to, but i feel like I need to get my mind on something else. Dorcas also agrees to let Holly join to. We also ask Xenophilius, but he didn't want to join. We steal some fire whiskey and alcohol from the kitchen, and head up to the dorm rooms. We all go to the dorm I'm in, and decide to play never have I ever. We sit around in a circle, and all have our cups with alcohol ready to drink from.

"Never have I ever regretted a kiss."

Holly drinks before laughing.

"Wasn't I your first kiss?" I ask her.

"My first and only and I regret it." She says laughing, I start laughing to and so does the others.

We keep playing until we get tired of it. We are now all laying drunk of the floor and playing truth or dare.

"Barty , truth or dare." Pandora ask.

Barty thinks a little before answering."

"Truth."

"Was Evan you first kiss."

"He was more than just my first kiss." Barty says grinning.

"WHAT!?." Dorcas screams while getting herself to sit up. Every else also sits up by what Barty just said.

"Barty you little shit." Evan says punching Barty in the arm jokingly.

"IN OUR DORM? THAT IS DISGUSTING IM GONNA SLEEP IN THE COMMON ROOM SOFA FOR THE REST OF MY SCHOOL YEARS." I yell

We are all drunk and are probably not going to remember this by tomorrow, but this will haunt me for the rest of my life. We all lay down on the floor again. The room smells like alcohol and cigarettes.

"Anyways your turn Reggie, truth or dare." Barty asks.

"Truth."
Barty think a little before deciding on what question he wanna ask me.

"Describe your type."

I think in silence for a little time.

"I like hot guys."

"And griffendors."

"Mostly hot guys."

"Damn Reggie. What else is you type." Dorcas ask grinning.

"Mostly James."

"POTTER?" Barty yell.

"MOSTLY WHO? YOU CANT BE SERIOUS." Evan yells to.

I start laughing while the others look at me In shock.

"I didn't even know you were gay." Holly says.

"I'm not." I response.

"Well it's kinda gay to be in love with a guy."

"I'm not."

"I won't judge you tho."

I start laughing again. Then I'm crying. Then I remember someone laying me in my bed, and hearing people leaving the dorm.
