(Y/N)'s face lights up when he sees Salim. "Salim..." (Y/N) whispered, sighing in relief. (Y/N) grabbed his hand, helping him to stand up. (Y/N) smiles before wrapping Salim in hug. "Never do that again," (Y/N) said to him.
Salim hugged him back. Salim could feel how tight (Y/N) was holding him. "You're worried about me?" He chuckled.
(Y/N) pulled back but kept his hands on Salim's arms, holding him close. "You know the answer to that," (Y/N) replied before kissing Salim. Salim loved how (Y/N)'s lips felt against his own. The kiss felt delicate yet firm, desperate but also gentle.
(Y/N) could hear someone else coming through the tunnel and quickly broke the kiss, letting go of Salim. Salim pouted slightly, but he understood. (Y/N) helped Jason get up and watched with relief as the others soon followed.
"Shit (Y/N)," Jason laughed, patting his friend on the shoulder. "Thought you were dead."
"And leave you with all the fun? I don't think so," (Y/N) smiled, happy to see Jason. He figured Jason wasn't dead. Hell wouldn't take him.
The group began to look around. It was... odd, to say the least. There was some giant fixture in the middle. The walls were decorated, carved in patterns. But also notes and tables all around. Had the explorers been here, too? "This place..." Salim whispered in amazement. The group began to cautiously walk forward, inspecting the area. "What is this place?"
Nick began to unload the remaining ammo and weapons they had onto a table. (Y/N) walked towards the water, trying to see if anything was down there. But he couldn't see anything.
"We need a plan," Salim said after a moment, turning to face the others.
"We fuck those things up and get the fuck out," Jason responded.
"Good plan," Salim said sarcastically, frowning.
Jason liked him. More importantly, he liked that Salim helped (Y/N) to survive. Jason figured he could trust Salim, for now. "Sergeant Kay, what do we got left?" Jason asked Nick.
"So we got, um," Nick looked at all of the supplies on the table. "Eight clips of 556 FMJ, three 40 mil high-ex rounds, couple of nine mil pistols, four clips between them. We'll make that work. Plus two phosphor rounds." Nick grabbed the last item from his bag. "Oh... and one block of composition C4." He set it down on the table, smiling.
"Oh, I found these," (Y/N) grabbed the dynamite from his bag and set it on the table.
"Where the hell did ya get that?" Jason laughed, inspecting the dynamite.
Nick grabbed a piece, looking at it. "Ah, it's old. Unpredictable."
"We work with what we got," Jason told him.
Nick tried to think of a way to use it. "Our fuses are shot, but we can use the C4 to detonate them. Let's just hope they still pack a punch."
"Well, what about the UV Lamp?" Jason asked, looking at Eric.
Eric grabbed it from his bag, inspecting it. "Took a knock, but I can fix it. Just need a minute."
"All in, it's not enough," Nick sighed.
"The vampires come from those cocoons," Salim spoke up. "You saw how many there were in that vault. There could be thousands in there."
"So we blow them up. Burn as many of those motherfuckers as we can and head for the surface," Jason said to the group. "What do you think, Sergeant?"
Nick held his gun proudly. "Oorah."
Jason grabbed one of the guns and handed it over to Salim. Rachel frowned, upset. "I'm not gonna allow him to carry a pistol."
