This room wasn't exactly inspiring hope. There were skeletons everywhere. Not even in the correct burial spots. They were out in the open.

"Well, this looks like the worst place in the goddamn world," Jason mumbled, scrunching up his nose in disgust.

"I dunno. Just needs some redecorating. Some nice drapes... and six gallons of sanitizer," (Y/N) joked, trying to lighten the mood. Jason rolled his eyes at him. Salim, on the other hand, smiled, though (Y/N) didn't see it.

"Not the time, Corpsman," Rachel glared at him. She was scared. Afraid. Whoever made their last stand here was dead. What chance did she have? (Y/N) frowned, but he understood.

The creatures began to emerge from the shadows. Clicking. The group huddled together, guns drawn. They couldn't see the creatures. That was until the beasts jumped down, screeching. There were a dozen of them. More. The group began to fire at the beasts.

One of the creatures watched on top of a statue. Waiting. Then it made its move. It jumped down, grabbing Jason. Jason screamed as it dragged him down a passageway, away from the rest of the group.

"Jason!" Nick yelled, running after his friend. Salim watched it all happen. Jason was ripped right off his feet just a tiny bit aways from Salim. Salim looked for (Y/N), wanting to stand by him.

But (Y/N) was already back-to-back with Eric. Salim felt a tinge of jealously. He looked around, meeting Dar's gaze. The two moved right next to each other. It worked well for a moment. But only a moment. A creature tossed itself right between the two of them, knocking Salim off of his feet. "Dar!" Salim called out for help.

But Dar was too focused on shooting. There were too many. He could hear one right behind him. He turned around, ready to shoot. But the creature reached forward, punching a hole right through Dar's gut. It lifted him up into the air. Dar screamed in pain. "The demons... you were right," Dar yells out.

Salim gets up, grabbing his stake. He stabs the creature in the back, forcing it to drop Dar. Salim knew Dar was going to die soon. There was no hope. Salim reached down and grabbed Dar's gun, beginning to shoot at the creatures.

Rachel and Eric had teamed up, leaving (Y/N) by himself. Not that he minded... too much, anyways. (Y/N)'s gun ran out of ammo. (Y/N) quickly grabbed a magazine, quickly replacing it. But as he did this, a creature was getting closer. It screeched, leaping for (Y/N). It knocked him right off his feet, pinning him to the ground. (Y/N) yelped in pain, trying to get the creature off.

"(Y/N)!" Salim cried out, looking at the other man. Salim was about to shoot it off of (Y/N), but another creature caught his eye. It leapt, headed straight for Salim. Salim thought quickly. He thought about which one to shoot.

Salim shot the creature on top of (Y/N). It shrieked, running off, allowing (Y/N) to get up. The other beast knocked Salim down, causing him to drop his gun. (Y/N) saw where the gun landed and quickly ran to it. He shot the monster, causing it to fly off, leaving Salim to recover. Salim laid there for a moment in disbelief. He had just put himself in danger to save (Y/N). And he would do it again in a heartbeat.

(Y/N) ran over to Salim. "You okay?" He asked, holding out his hand for Salim.

Salim nodded. "I'm alright," He replied, taking (Y/N)'s hand, helping him stand up. The two stood there for a moment, hands together, looking into each other's eyes. (Y/N) let go of Salim, handing him his gun. Salim took it, smiling.

"Ugh!" Nick gasped as he hit the floor. (Y/N) and Salim looked at the sight. Eric and some creature, a new creature, were fighting. Salim grabbed Nick's vest, pulling him out of danger.

(Y/N) moves to help Eric, but a creature grabs him again. "Shit!" (Y/N) yelps. The creature begins to drag (Y/N) down the opposite path from the others.

Salim yells for (Y/N). He leaves Nick and the others and rushes over to go help (Y/N).

(Y/N) is being dragged across the ground. He can feel the rocks and dirt grinding at his clothes. It burns. (Y/N) grabs the knife from his leg holster and stabs the creature in the leg a couple of times.

The creature shrieks, letting (Y/N) go. It flies off, to (Y/N)'s relief. (Y/N) takes a deep breath. He doesn't know where he is. There are so many paths in this one area. It's dark. (Y/N) sighs, beginning to walk. He hoped the others were okay.
