When Freya met Aiden

"I know, but I was going to invite them over to do a show, and it's big enough for them to fetch their families and have a little holiday, so Aiden could have slept in his room and then when they'd gone it would have been my room, and I could have had happy dreams in there. I know I'm like an overgrown teenager, but I would have been happy, but instead I came over here and Aiden fell in love with me and asked me to marry him. I did ask him if he needed glasses, but he just kisses me and tells me to shut up and before anybody thinks or asks it, he didn't know I had money when he fell in love with me and asked me to marry him, in fact he nearly did a runner because he thought people would think he's only marrying me for my money, it's taken me quite a while to get that out of his head" "wow, wait until madam knows you live in a castle, if I'm allowed to tell her?" "Of course, you can tell her, in fact when we're over there you could come for a holiday, she'd love it. She could sleep in the nursery, look at it" and Freya brought up the pictures of the nursery "oh my god, that's the twin of Anna's bed, it's beautiful" "it's a fairly modern one compared to the rest, I think it's only about fifty years old" "can you zoom in on the headboard please, right in the middle, just under the heart." Freya zoomed in and in a tiny carving you could just see the initials RSH "oh my god, that's my grandfather's initials, many many years ago, he was commissioned to make a child's bed for some lord and lady from England, they'd seen some of his work in their friends home, and my father copied the design for my bed, I've actually got a picture at home of my Grandad and dad standing by it, before it got shipped to England, and you've ended up buying the castle it's in, wow they say truth can be stranger than fiction" "I'd love to see the picture and have a copy of it for the files on the castle, it's a piece of history" "would you mind keeping an eye on Anna and if I ask Bill nicely he could run me home and I'll get it now" "of course I don't mind, she's still fine in there with uncle Aiden and Ethan" "and I definitely don't mind nipping you home to get it" said Bill "I'd better tell her where I'm going, just in case she panics." So, they went into the other room and Anna looked at them "it's not time to go home yet, is it? I'm still having a lot of fun" "no not yet, but I need to get a picture for aunty Freya to see, and Bill's going to run me there and back. Will you be ok staying here with Uncle Aiden and Ethan, aunty Freya will be in the diner" "of course I'll be ok with uncle Aiden and Ethan, Aiden's going to try and teach me to make some noises" and she giggled.

 "I don't know what I've let myself in for" said Aiden "you're having fun I can tell, right I'm going back to Charles and Jed, come through if you want a drink or something" and Freya gave him a peck on the cheek "ok darling."  So, Aiden tried teaching Anna some sounds, but all she managed at first was to spit right in Aiden's eye. Freya just went back into the diner giggling to herself. "What's so funny Freya?" Asked Charles "Aiden's trying to teach Anna a few sounds and she's just spat right in his eye" "she'd be mortified, she's been brought up that spitting is a dirty habit" said Jed "Well all she was doing when I came out of there was laughing, I think she knows she won't get into trouble for that, after all Aiden did it to her earlier on before she went to kindergarten, didn't he?" "she's going to miss you both when you go, mind you so will I, you've made an old man very happy Freya" "well we'll be keeping in touch, I'm adopting you as my dad, seeing as I never knew mine" "you're just being silly Freya, you don't need me in your life" "yes I do, so I want telephone numbers, address and date of birth, and if you don't give them to me, Charles will get them for me, so there" Charles slid his notebook and pen to him "you'd better do as she asks Jed, she won't take no for an answer" he was busy writing when Aiden, Anna and Ethan came in. "We're starving" said the three of them together, and they stood there patting their stomachs "well sit down and have something to eat, have you had fun Anna?" "Yes, and after we've had food, we're going back in there. Ethan's doing a..... what did you say Aiden?" "Ethan's doing one of his sets, when the people come into the other side, and if you don't mind, I'm going to join him, try out my new tweaked tunes and madam going to be my No1 fan till she has to go home to bed, aren't you Anna?"
