"Don't know, I mean look at Freya and Aiden, nobody thought it will last. I mean we know it will, and everybody else who really, really knows them, knows it will, but you still get the miserable ones saying, 'oh it will never last', 'she's old enough to be his mother', 'it's disgusting the thought of them having sex', 'what's the matter with him that he can't get a young wife instead of some old bag?' So why couldn't you and Ruddy work? if you tried and it was working, you could always come over here to live and work, couldn't you? Charles would most probably welcome you with open arms." "I would Karan, you could come and work over here. It would be great, so long as you didn't want to retire, I've lost one of my best agents, I don't want to lose the other one to a foreigner, however nice they are." Karan was blushing like mad when they pulled up in the hospital car park. Ruddy was waiting for them, and opened the door for Karan, "Your carriage awaits," and he pushed a wheelchair over to her. "I don't need a wheelchair, I can walk!!!" "Hospital rules, now get in or I'll put you in," said Ruddy smiling. They went through doors and were greeted by the big boss, Charles had obviously called ahead. "Do come this was way Ms Smith, we'll go through to the private rooms, we'll take great care of you." An orderly came to take the chair, "I don't think so, I'll look after Ms Smith myself," and Ruddy glared at the orderly. "Well if you'd care to follow me," and he glared back. Ruddy put his hand on Karan's shoulder and squeezed it. "I'll stay with you till they throw me out." She turned and squeezed his hand, "I'm glad," she said. They went into a room and closed the door, and started a lot of secret talking.

 Troy, Nigel, Aiden and Freya all made their way back to Ma's. They all pulled into the car park and went inside, but first Aiden pulled Freya in for a great big kiss and cuddle, making her toes curl. "I needed that, to take the taste of Nigel from my lips." "You're terrible, what on earth made you think of kissing each other?" "Well, we thought that if he thought we were gay, our cover might be more easily believed. Two rugged men out in the wilds together, all secretive and that, and it worked didn't it? Called us a couple of fairies, I threatened to hospitalize him, he soon apologized." "Well OK, but no kissing men again, or ladies come to that." "As if I would, told you, you're the only one I want," and he kissed her again. "Mmm, we'd better go in before Ma sends a search party out for us." Freya said. They went through to Ma's office, "Come in, I hear you were a bit of a hero Aiden" said Ma. Aiden was standing there taking his jacket off, "I didn't do anything special Ma, I had an unfair advantage, I snuck up on him and grabbed him before he knew what was happening, nothing heroic at all." "There speaks a true hero, doesn't want any praise, just let it go. Well if that's how you want it, we'll leave it at that. Now I bet you're both starving aren't you, I know I always was after a job," said Ma. "Definitely, you don't realize that you haven't eaten, until the adrenaline starts calming down, then it hits you, so yes I'm starving, what about you darling?" "Same here, I need one of your steaks and all the trimmings please Ma." "Make that two, please Ma. Where's Nigel and Troy?" "Aww, is my baby missing his new boyfriend?" Freya said laughing. "He's NOT my new BOYFRIEND, you little minx!!!!" said Aiden. "What's all this?  you've got a BOYFRIEND Aiden?" said Ma. "No, I haven't Ma. Nigel and I PRETENDED to be a gay couple to draw Dougie out, and it worked." "Yes, it worked after they snogged each other's faces off, I couldn't work out if I was getting quite jealous Ma, or feeling very horny watching them snogging," Freya said. "Well I hope it wasn't getting you Horny because it won't be happening again, thank you very much" said Aiden. "I can see what you mean though Freya, the thought of Aiden and Nigel snogging? certainly gets the pulses racing."

 "Will you behave Ma? the pair of you are getting me all embarrassed, I wish we'd never done it now." "Awww, we're sorry darling, we won't tease you anymore, will we Ma?" "No we won't, I'm sorry Aiden but you were good today, ever thought about doing this type of thing as a proper job?" "Have you been talking to Ruddy and Karan? they said that as well, but I'll never give up my music. Plus the fact I've gone off the idea of learning to handle a gun after taking that one off Tudor, I was a nervous wreck in case it went off and I killed him by accident." "It's different if you learn properly at the gun range and you've got an expert teaching you, you'd start off with a small gun and work up to something bigger, if you want," Freya said. "We'll see when we get back home, but for now it's food, drink and then we'll have to make a move to London." "Well, Charles said he'd fly you up there, so you don't have to worry about getting there, so just relax" said Ma. "Ok Ma, we just need feeding please and I could do with a drink, but a proper one this time, not 99% alcohol free, being as I'm not driving," said Aiden. They went into the diner, saw Nigel and Troy and went and asked if they minded if the couple joined them. "Don't be daft, you don't need to ask" said Troy. "Well we had to sit here, Aiden's pining for Nigel" Freya said. "Yeah Nigel's been telling me all about it, god you must have a stronger stomach than me, kissing that ugly mush" said Troy. "Well, I just closed my eyes and thought of Freya, and it didn't last that long and we kept our lips closed. I must admit I'll have to tell my friend from college, he's gay but never fancied me, but he did say one of his other friends did, I said 'no thanks I'm not gay', he said you should try kissing a man and then say you're not gay. Well I can honestly say I've kissed a man and I'm still 100% straight, no offence Nigel but it didn't do a thing for me." "You're alright Aiden, considering I'd be the envy of hundreds of women, and some men, if it got out. It didn't do a thing for me either. I'll stick to kissing my wife, thank you very much, now she will be jealous" said Nigel, and he laughed.
