Blaze awoke in his tent. He quickly swung his legs over the cot and grabbed his swords. Today was the day they needed to find more people to recruit. He quickly rushed out, looking for Damian. He was sitting in the clearing, alone. No one had waken up yet. He looked like he was meditating. Blaze slowly walked over. "Damian?" Damian opened his eyes and turned. "Ah. Hey Blaze."
"You ready to learn?"
"Yes." Damian stood. Blaze nodded. "Alright. Astral energy is triggered by anger, pain, and determination on something. Typically if its not fighting, picture a memory of something that made you angry or in emotional pain. Then when you have it, clear your mind and picture what you want it to do." Damian nodded and looked out into the clearing. He closed his eyes and lifted his hand. After that, his hand burst into lightning. He opened his eyes. "Holy shit..." Blaze nodded. "Now, you can push it into a beam, throw it, or us it in hand to hand combat." Damian looked up into the sky and tossed it up. The ball of lightning soared into the air before bursting with a loud rumble. Blaze and Damian quickly ducked. There was silence before Blaze and Damian looked at each other. Blaze chuckled a little. "That was loud." Damian quickly looked around. "That must have woken up some others." Blaze looked around, listening. As Damian said, there were others waking up from the noise. "Best we stop, but we should work on your abilities tonight. For now, we must look for people to become astrals." Damian looked at him. "Should we have a name for it? That way we aren't just- group of astrals..."
"I mean sure. Maybe just like The Astral Order or something; I don't know."
Damian thought for a second then nodded. "That could be an idea. And we can call it T.A.O around others." Blaze nodded.
"Damian!"
Damian stiffened as Keado called him. "It's probably another patrol..." He sighed before walking to him. They seemed to talk, and Keado seemed defensive about something. During the conversation, Keado glanced at Blaze, a glare in his eyes. Blaze stared at him, a spark of annoyance flashed in him. Why was he suddenly so suspicious of him? He barely even existed a few days ago! Keado seemed to sigh and say something. Damian nodded and turned back, walking to Blaze. "Come on, you're on patrol with me."
"What??"
"If we want, we can try to use our powers on humans... or see anyone we could potentially have join the order."
Blaze nodded. "Not a bad idea. Who do you think?" Damian looked at the awaken. "I think I might have one." He started walking, and Blaze quickly followed. Damian eventually walked up to a bobcat with blonde and pink hair. She wore a red beanie on her head, and metal shoulder plates on her shoulders. Her hair was braided and she had metal disks attached to her waist. "Hey baby." Damian speaks as he takes her hand, giving her a little spin and dip. She giggled and looked up at him. "Hey blueberry." She traced her finger over his blue fur on his arm. Blaze felt his face warm, slightly looking away. Damian slowly let her go and turned to Blaze. "Oh, babe, this is Blaze." The bobcat looked up at Blaze. "You mean the guy who whooped your ass?" Damian glared and and Blaze awkwardly chuckled. The bobcat raised out her hand. "I'm Marie. Marie Everdream. Its nice to meet you." She seemed rather calm and quieter. "Nice to meet you too."
"Hey, we are gonna go on a patrol and we want to know if you want to join?"
Marie nodded. "Of course, anything to spend time with you." She said, smirking at Damian. Damian blushed and kissed her forehead. Blaze looked away, feeling warm in his cheeks. "I'm gonna go look for someone else to join us." Before either could respond, Blaze walked off. He needed someone he could trust. Someone nice. Maybe Nyli? Blaze started to look for her, walking around the camp. "Blaze?" Blaze recognized Pheramone's voice. He turned to her. "Oh! Hey Phera-"
"Blaze who are they..?"
Blaze looked confused for a second. "They?" She pointed next to him. "There... There is something there... A figure... all I can see is the yellow outline..."
"Blaze... how can she see me?"
Blaze shuttered at Kovu's voice. Pheramone can see him? "Uh... I don't know what you are talking about... There is no one there." Pheramone walked over to his side and reached her hand out. Blaze couldn't see what she was seeing, but she was clearly aware of it. Soon, her eyes widened as her hand touched something. "Blaze who is that!" She slowly backed up. Blaze quickly rushed forward and grabbed Pheramone's mouth, stopping her from speaking. She gave a muffled yell. "Listen, you don't have to believe me but that is the god Kovu. He is there to help me take Elementia from the humans." Pheramone stayed quiet before a muffled, "Huh?" was heard. Blaze sighed before holding out his hand. He slowly closed his eyes, pulling up a powerful emotion of anger. Slowly, a flame grew on his hand. Pheramone started to say stuff but was covered by the muffling. "Look. I can't have many people finding out... Who knows what people will do. And me and Damian are building an army of Astrals..." Pheramone removed Blaze's hand from her mouth. "Blaze, this is amazing! I'm telling you, this is why your glow is red! I knew you would do something great."
"Thanks but we don't know how to get others to join..."
Pheromone looked down in a little disappointment. "I'm sorry Blaze, if I had powers, I would help you." That was all Blaze needed to hear. He quickly took out a kunai from his pocket and slashed Pheramone's hand. "Ow! What the fuck!" Blaze then took the kunai and cut his hand too. He pressed his cut to hers. "Blaze what the hell are you doing!"
"I can give you these powers... but it needs transferred by blood."
Pheramone looked a little confused and worried. They both watched as the blood slowly poured into her wound. They waited for a minute before Pheromone suddenly seemed to zone out. "Phera?" Blaze waved his hand in front of her face. She didn't react at all. "Pheramone..?" He snapped his fingers in front of her face. Still nothing. Yet as he tried to get her to snap out of it, her third eye started to glow. He quickly looked around, grabbed Phera's hand and walked her toward where Damian was. Damian was now talking to Marie, Roren, and Slash. He seemed to be focused on the conversation that he hadn't noticed Blaze coming up behind him. "Hey Damian- can I have a moment before we go?" Damian turned to Blaze, seeing Pheramone. He then looked at their hands, seeing the blood. "Wait...you." Blaze nodded. Damian turned to everyone. "Uh. Just a moment guys." Damian started to walk off with Blaze. Blaze glanced behind him and saw Roren staring at him. He smiled and waved, and Blaze gave a small wave. Damian turned to Blaze when they were out of sight. "So you chose her?" Blaze nodded. "She said she wanted to help but... now she has completely become unresponsive." Damian looked at Pheramone. "Pupils are dilated..." He placed his finger on her wrist. "Heart rate slowed. This... This happened to me! I don't remember what happened but I was told by Marie that this happened." Pheromone seemed to snap back into reality, looking around. "Blaze, I don't think it-... Hold on how did I get here?" Both of them looked at Pheromone. "Phera? What happened to you?" Pheramone looked at Blaze. "I don't know... It just felt like I blinked and I was here." Blaze nodded. "Well. You zoned out... I don't know why but you did."
"It happens when they get astral blood... they are sent into a trance where we see what elements represents they're soul."
Blaze turned as he heard Kovu's words. Yet, he wasn't there. Pheramone was looking at where Blaze was looking too. "Well, the glow is still there." Damian looked over. "Glow? What glow."
"Nevermind..."
"How does she see me?"
Kovu said. Blaze turned back again still seeing nothing. "Uhm... we should... go on the patrol."
"Yea..." Damian responded.Blaze walked through the forest, his senses alert. Behind him were Damian, Pheramone, and Marie, weapons out in case of an ambush. So far, everything was quiet. Damian slowly walked up to Blaze. "So, how do we tell Marie?"
"I don't know, she is your girlfriend." Damian glared at him. "Well what do I say! Hey babe, Im an astral and I want you to be one too?" Blaze shrugged. "I don't know man, I-"
There was a twig snap and Blaze froze. Everyone else froze too as the sound of footsteps. Many. Blaze gripped his swords. His nose didn't lie... it was humans. "Damian... do it now." Damian nodded and turned to Marie and pulled out a knife, slashing Maire's hand. "Ow! What the hell babe!" Damian then cut his hand, smearing his blood on Marie's wound. "Babe? What-"
"Just trust me."
Marie stayed quiet and nodded. Just then, a bullet flew at Blaze's head. Blaze quickly moved as it whizzed by. "Damian! Get Marie to cover! Phera, with me!" Damian quickly grabbed Marie's hand and jumped behind some rocks with her. "What is going o-" By her cut off, Marie must have entered the trance. Blaze quickly flourished his swords as he glared at the humans as they emerged from the bushes. There we're about seven, carrying swords, clubs, axes, and guns. Pheramone spun her chained blades, her eyes fixated on the humans. "Hey, isn't that the kid?" Blaze looked at one of the humans as it pointed at him. "Yea! It is. Everyone get ready, kill him now!" Pheramone threw a blade at one of the humans. It sunk into his shoulder and he screamed. Pheramone yanked the chain and the human was pulled toward them. Blaze spun and sliced the human's head off. It fell to the ground with a splat. "NOW ATTACK!!!" The humans charged at them. Blaze quickly jumped and raised his hand. He felt a beam of fire erupt from his hand, hitting a human. The human yelled in pain but was silenced seconds later as the beam of fire burned his body. Many humans seemed stunned, and Pheramone's jaw dropped. "Phera! Channel an emotion of determination, anger or pain. Then picture what you want your powers to do!" One of the humans swung an axe and Blaze blocked with one of his swords. He pressed a button on the hilt and the blade turned into the blade whip. He spun it and wrapped it around the human. He released the button and the blade slowly started to crush the human. The human screamed as the blades on the whip dug into his skin. The blade snapped back into it's straight form and the human stayed silent. He slowly split into three halves, falling to the ground. Something struck Blaze's arm and he yelled in pain. He looked at his shoulder, seeing a bullet wound. He felt behind it to feel it had gone through. He then felt a human strike his head with a club. His head spun as he fell onto his side. "Haha! Go to hell, stupid furry!" Blaze looked up and gritted his teeth. Suddenly, something stuck to his face. It looked like a blue, glowing flower. He tried to grab it but his hand went through it, like water. "The fuck? Get it off!" The flower suddenly exploded in water, blasting open the humans face. Blaze looked over and saw Pheramone, water seeming to appear in long stands, flowing around her. It made sense, she always had a connection to water. She could be calm and quiet like a soft undisturbed pond, but also could be violent in battle like a raging river. Pheramone spun her chained blades as sent both of them out at humans. As it shot towards them, water surrounds them. The blades struck the human's, causing a blast of water to send them back as the blades sunk into them. Phera pulled on her blades and spun them, with the humans on them, around. The humans slid off the blades and flew into another. Blaze smiled and turned to the last human. The human seemed to be shaking in surprise. "How... how is she also an astral?" Blaze glared, when suddenly a pink beam struck the human. She flew back and slammed into a tree, her chest and throat were charred. Blaze and Pheramone turned to see Marie, her fists and eyes glowing pink. Damian looked stunned. "What... element is she???"
"Energy."
Blaze nodded at Kovu's words, echoing in his ear. "She is an energy astral." Marie's powers slowly fade and she grabs one of her frisbee rings. She placed her hands on it and they suddenly glowed pink, as a transparent wall passed through the frisbee. "Hell yea!"
"Did you just come up with that idea right now?"
"Hell yea, babe!"
Blaze smiled at Damian and Marie talking to each other. This was it... The Astral Order.
