Chapter 15: The Hybrid Containment

Pheramone sat against the metal door. In front of her were hundreds, if not thousands of hybrids. Each one had been captured like they had been, only some longer. Already some of their friends were dead... Adieu, Kendal, Nyli, Blaze... now they were randomly picking others to be killed. They were moved to a cell known as the termination cell, where every half hour, one hybrid was chosen to be killed, some public, some private. Titus was among them. The image burned into her mind.
"NO! NO PLEASE! TAKE ME INSTEAD!!! JUST NOT HIM! PLEASE!!!"
Roren's screams echoed her mind. Roren clung to Titus with all his strength but the humans kicked him away. Titus tried to fight back and accidentally revealed his astral powers. Immediately, Titus was taken to a separate room... and his screaming finally stopped when the humans came out, bloodied knives in their hands. He had to be dead. Roren was devastated and still hadn't stopped crying. Roushe was also distraught. He had lost both his best friends in the attack on the camp. He was comforted by Slash, who rested his head on Roushe's shoulder.
Is this it? Is this how the hybrids are killed off?
"Rider... what do we do?!" Pheramone looked up and saw a small group, consisting of two wolves and an alligator . The alligator was blue and light blue with long purple hair. One of the wolves was a white female with yellow and red markings. Her tail also seemed to have a mouth on it, almost sentient. The final wolf was a male with gray and tan fur with crimson markings on the ends of his hair and body.
The grey wolf looked up at the wolf talking to him. "I don't know Miso..." The white wolf looked down and hugged her large tail. "Kinami... I'm scared..." Her tail slowly growled as it nuzzled closer too her. "You got any plans, Stryke." The alligator shook his head. "Sit and wait for help or death." Pheramone slowly walked over to them. "Mind if I join you guys..." They group looked up at her. "Sure." The alligator said. Pheramone slowly sat down. "I'm Pheramone... but just call me Phera."
"Names Rider," Said the grey wolf. "And this is Miso, Stryke, and Miso's tail is Kinami." Miso smiled softly. "Its nice to meet you Phera."
"So what's your story?" Asked Stryke. Pheramone looked down. "I was in a surviving refugee camp... and we were attacked..." Rider looked down. "I'm sorry... did you loose anyone?"
"Yea... My friends Adieu, Ken, Nyli... and Blaze... I thought if anything he would make it out."
Stryke tilted his head. "Why's that?"
"He was the greatest warrior there..."
Miso and Rider looked at each other. "We could all use someone like that..."
Pheramone nodded. She glanced above Rider and spotted Aqua and Bio, sitting beside Mazzy. Aqua had tears streaming down her face and Mazzy seemed utterly devastated. Bio held Mazzy's hand as she hugged Aqua. Pheramone felt her heart ache. "Alright freaks! Who's next!" Screams and yells suddenly filled the cell as they backed away from the bars. Pheramone felt panic crawl up her as the guards opened the door. Gods... please don't let it be someone I know... A guard walked in and quickly started walking forward. The hybrids kept moving back, pushing in any way they could. Finally, the guard reached forward in the crowd and grabbed someone. Pheramone suddenly saw the familiar coat of Aqua. Aqua yelled and tried to fight back. "AQUA NO!!!" Bio quickly grabbed Aqua's foot, pulling her. The guard turned and grabbed a metal baton, striking Bio in the face. Bio immediately let go and fell back. Pheramone quickly tried to reach for Aqua, but Rider grabbed her. "What are you doing?! They'll kill you!"
"She's my friend! I'm not gonna let her die!" Suddenly the door slammed shut, and everyone turned. Aqua was thrown to the ground. "Why don't we make this one a public execution!" Aqua suddenly held out her hand as water suddenly blasted back a guard. Multiple others immediately grabbed her head and slammed it into the ground. "SHES AN ASTRAL! KILL HER NOW!!!"
"NO!!! AQUA!!!"
A guard held an AR to Aqua's head, glaring.
BANG!
There was silence when the guard suddenly fell to the ground. Everyone looked around in confusion.
BANG! BANG!
Two more guards fell to the ground. Sudden, a blur flew by the cell and a guard was taken with it. They screamed as there was the sound of slashing blades against skin. The final guard pulled out a handgun and looked around in fear. A white wolf with cyan markings walked up behind him. "Nice place buddy." The guard turned and fired, but the wolf ducked to the side. "Ok. Then you'll hate this."
BANG!
The guard fell forward to the ground. Everyone looked up at the wolf. "Relax y'all, I'm Tenel, and me and my squad are breaking you out." He then turned to the side. "Yo, gun frenzy, earplugs. Wanna help open the-" The cell door suddenly opened. "Ight cool!" Bio and Phera suddenly rushed out to Aqua. "Aqua! Are you ok?" Aqua looked shocked. "H-He's alive..." Pheramone looked up and was hit with shock. There in front of them, were Blaze and Nyli. Blaze was holding two large pistols, with the symbols of what she recognized as Akari's symbols. "Blaze! Nyli!" Pheramone rushed forward and hugged them both. Roushe came out with Slash behind him. He quickly rushed over to them and hugged them. "Quick! We gotta get our weapons!"
"Yea. I know where they are!" Pheramone turned to Miso. "Ok!"
"Wait! We can't leave them defenseless!" Pheramone shouted. Blaze looked at his hand before closing his eyes. "Kovu, grant astral powers to every hybrid in this building."
Pheramone looked at him confused before suddenly everyone went quiet except for a few individuals. Pheramone saw they all seemed zoned out. "Hey, whats with everyone? Why are they zoned out?" Pheramone glanced over and saw Rider, Miso, and Stryke still moving. "You... have astral powers?!" Blaze walked forward.
"Yea, ever since we were born." Suddenly, there was an explosion down the hall. Everyone turned as a bunch of hybrids started running. "Quick! White wolf!"
"Miso."
"Miso! Lead everyone to their weapons! Pheramone, Aqua, you remember how to teach everyone about how to use their powers?"
Pheramone nodded. "Good! Teach them as they run! Nyli, Tenel, we need to stop anyone coming after us! Everyone go!"
Pheramone nodded as she turned to Miso. Miso immediately clapped and a majority of hybrids turned. "EVERYONE FOLLOW ME!!! AND LISTEN TO PHERA AS WE GO!!"

Blaze stepped to the side as a large mass of hybrids started running with Miso. He then spotted Roren desperately trying to get through to a door. "Titus! Its ok! I'm coming!" Blaze quickly rushed into the crowd and grabbed Roren. "Roren! You need to go with the crowd! I'll get Titus!" Roren looked at Blaze, tears in his eyes. But despite everything, he nodded as he hugged Blaze before running with the crowd. Blaze quickly rushed through the crowd, bumping into others till he reached the door. Quickly, he opened the door. He stared in horror as he saw Titus strapped to a table, his arms hacked off. He felt sick to his stomach. Yet Titus was still breathing. Ran over and ignited his hand, cauterizing the wounds. "Its ok Titus, I'll get you out of here." He grabbed Titus from the table, carrying him in his arms, and rushed back out. "Nyli! I need you to get Titus out! He's badly hurt!" Nyli nodded and took Titus into hers before flying down the hallway. Blaze turned to Tenel. "Lets go. We need to help the others with the guards!" Tenel smirked. "You read my mind!" He drew his saber. "Lets go kill some bitches!" Blaze immediately took down the hallway, his pistols in hand. Akari gave them to him on the way there. They had limited ammo but were good for quick and easy movements. Blaze turned a corner as there was an explosion and gunfire from the other side. Blaze spotted Adieu and Ken, who were hiding behind a giant earth pillar. "Yo! Blaze! Help!" Adieu yelled as Ken held out his hand towards the guards. Long vines shot out, stabbing enemies and throwing them to walls. "I got this, big guy." Tenel patted Blaze's chest. "Lets see what my astral powers are." He suddenly held the wall and ice spread along it. Large ice spikes shot out of the ground and stabbed the rest of the guards. "Fuck yea!" Blaze quickly rushed over to Adieu and Ken and grabbed their hands, pulling them to their feet. "Quick we need to get out of here!" Adieu nodded and Ken looked around. "What about Okami, Keiko, and Reso!" Suddenly, gunfire echoed the halls. Blaze turned  as he saw Okami, Reso, and Keiko sprinting down the corridor, chased by humans. Blaze quickly drew his pistols and started firing. "Go!" Tenel, Ken, and Adieu started sprinting down the hall as Blaze continued to fire. Okami passed him, Keiko passed him, and suddenly a bullet struck Reso in the knee. Reso screamed in pain and fell. "Reso!"
"Go! Win this for us!" He turned back, drawing his sword when a bullet flew into his head. Blaze yelled as he tried to fire his pistols, but the guns clicked, empty. Blaze growled and placed them in the holsters, before holding out his hand. "HAAA!" The entire hallway was set ablaze. Humans screamed as they burned. Blaze broke the connection and quickly sprinted down the hallway. "EVERYONE!!! RUN!!!" Everyone looked at Blaze as the entire corridor exploded. The burst was traveling towards them all. We aren't gonna make it!
"Blaze!" Blaze looked forward as he saw Adieu blast a hole in the wall with his earth abilities. Blaze nodded as they all jumped out. The blast flung Blaze out. He sailed towards the ground, head first. "Shit!" He reached out his hands when he felt himself whip back.
"I got you."
Blaze looked back and saw Akari's wings on his back. They slowly landed him on the ground before disappearing. "Thank you Akari."
"Yea yea, just go check on everyone."
Blaze quickly turned to see everyone was alright. The building had exploded from the inside and was burning. This was it. The first act of the raid on Elementia.
