Chapter 18: The Sunrise

Blaze slowly opened his eyes. He felt something holding his hand. He turned to see Nyli. "Nyli."
"Hey Blaze."
Blaze looked around. He was in a hospital area. "Where are we?" Nyli leaned over and kissed him. "We're home Blaze... we won." Blaze sat up but groaned. Nyli held his back. "Careful! You were just patched up!" Blaze looked down to see his stomach and chest were bandaged up. "Don't worry... Remember, astrals heal fast." She smiles.
"How long has it been."
"3 hours... it's sunrise right now."
"What about everyone!?! Roushe, Damian, Bio... IS AQUA OK!?!?!"
Nyli nodded. "Most everyone's injuries were treatable... Damian is in surgery right now to stop the bleeding from his lost arm. Aqua was the least injured as she used her water to hold her bones in place till they healed."
"How-"
"Her water can wrap around any surface and hold it in place. Basically can seal wounds or snap bones into place... she used it on me." Nyli lifted her wing, showing that she had broken a bone in it. Blaze looked at her wing and then back at her. "What about Titus?"
"Well... They are right now attaching nerve sensors into metal arms... they had a lot of medically advanced technology here so we can give him those." Blaze nodded. Then he remembered Ezra, who was about to kill him. "What about Ezra?! And Pheno!?!" Nyli chuckled slightly. "Why not ask him yourself... he saved you after all..." Blaze looked to his left as he saw a tall grey wolf talking to a snake girl. The wolf turned and froze when he saw Blaze was awake. "B-Blaze..?"
That was the voice he remembered.
"Dad!"
Pheno immediately rushed over and grabbed Blaze's hand. "Oh my god... you've grown so much!" He smiled, tears coming from his eyes. "I can't believe you made it out! And saved me too!" Blaze stared in awe, tears forming from his eyes too. "Dad... I thought you were dead."
"I thought I was too. But then I woke up and saw you fighting Dindari... and I stopped Ezra from killing you."
"Where is he?"
"He ran off... disappeared back towards the forest." Blaze smiled softly. Pheno then looked up at Nyli. "You must be Keado's girl! I see it in your eyes. Where is Keado?" Nyli looked down. "He... went insane and tried to kill Blaze... so... I killed him." Pheno's ears drooped. "Ah... I see..." Pheno knelt down next to Blaze. "Blaze, I am so sorry about your mom... Its all my fault..." Blaze looked up at the ceiling. "Its ok... I forgive you... and she does too." Pheno smiled softly.
"Blaze! Holy shit you're ok!" Blaze then felt someone hug him. He turned and saw the top of Roren's head. "Its ok dude, I'm ok."
"YOU PULL THAT SHIT AGAIN AND IM GONNA BEAT THE SHIT OUT OF YOU!" He yelled as he grabbed Blaze's shoulders. Blaze stared at him and chuckled. "You're cute when you're angry." He teased jokingly. Roren blushed slightly before letting go. Nyli smiled as she bumped Roren. Pheno looked at the three of them for a minute before, "I'll leave you be for now... but Blaze... Thank you." He turned and walked down the hallway.
"Uhm. Blaze." Blaze turned to Roren and Nyli. Nyli nudged him forward slightly. "Well... Me and Nyli talked about an hour ago and... well... I want to ask if I can join your couple!" He blushed. Blaze felt his cheeks warm as he looked at Nyli. Nyli blushed slightly but had a smile on. "I said I wouldn't mind if you didn't." Blaze looked at Roren and smiled. "Roren... of course you can." Roren blushed as he smiled happily. "A-Awesome! I-I-I'm glad! I-Uhm- I'm gonna go check on... uh- Phera... because... uh. Yea-" He quickly dashed out down the hall as Blaze and Nyli laughed. "That was sweet." She said as she sat on the bed. Blaze nodded as he pulled her in, kissing her cheek. She blushed and wrapped her arms around his neck. "I love you Blaze..."
"I love you too Nyli."
"But seriously you should get that doctor... you're still hurt"
"Got it." She quickly stood and rushed out. Blaze laid back in his bed.
"Well done, Blaze. You fucking did it."
"That was amazing Blaze..."
Blaze smiled at Akari and Kovu's praises. "So... you now go and leave to the starwatch again?"
"No... we must stay with you... Dindari is still out there and we need to stop her... This is just the beginning Blaze... the end is far from now."
"Yup. Your stuck with us!"
Blaze smiled as he looked at the ceiling. "I can live with that..." He then closed his eyes.
"Mom... I did it... I won... I brought us home. For you, for Nyli, for Roren, Phera, Aqua, everyone... all for them."
