Explosions rang out in the distance. The smell of ash and the sound of screams filled the air. A small, fire pelted wolf ran down the stone street. "Mom!!! Where are you!!!" They kept running, feeling the hard ground on their very two feet. He looked up at the faces of other screaming hybrids. Was he running towards the humans? He quickly started to turn when he felt something tug on his shirt. He gasped and fell back. He looked up to see the face of a human. It's ugly face had a death glare. His face was covered in blood. The wolf scream as the human held him down. "No! NO!!! PLEASE NO!!!!" He tried to scratch the human but his meaty hands would not move from the grasp he had on his neck. "I DONT WANNA DIE!!!" He screamed. The human gritted his teeth and raises his sword. "Shut up you stupid furry shit!" The wolf closed his eyes as he was ready to feel the sword come down onto him. That's when he heard a whistle in the air, followed by a thump. The human screamed and let go of the wolf. The wolf looked up to see another wolf jump down from a roof. "MOM!!!" He cried. The human smirked and held his sword out. "Well. The Queen of Elementia. Rem Lilac Ashfall." Rem glared. "You will not touch my son." The human sneered and pulled out a gun. "Fine then." Rem reacted quickly. She shot an arrow at the human. The human quickly jumped to the side. "Nice shot bitch!" Rem smirked. "I wasn't aiming for you." The human's expression changed from an evil smirk to a shocked expression. He turned as the arrow hit a wood beam. The building it was attached to started to fall. Rem quickly picked up the young wolf. "Come on honey!" The wolf nodded as they ran. The human screamed as a loud crash sounded behind them. The young wolf closed his eyes as he felt Rem jumping and dodging things. He heard screams from innocent hybrids being slaughtered. "Close your eyes honey, keep them close." The wolf nodded and closed his eyes. The sounds of screams still echoed out, but the comfort of his mom's arms around him calmed his mind. "Mom? Where's Aqua?"
"She is at the boats honey, she is safe." He nodded when suddenly, a bullet whizzed by his head. He quickly nuzzled his face into his mother's arm. "They are shooting at us!" Called his mom. The wolf kept his eyes down. He didn't want to be here. Why was this happening to him? "Mom? Where is Dad?" His mom was silent. "He's dead honey. The humans attacked him all at once. I'm sorry." He wolf felt his heart sink and his eyes water. "I know honey, but we gotta get you sa-" Suddenly, a gunshot sound. The wolf felt himself be thrown to the ground. He rolled on the ground, landing in a puddle of blood. He quickly looked up in shock. In front of the wolf was his mom, laying on the ground, face down. The back of her head had a dark red, gaping hole. She was not moving. "Mom? Mom get up!" He grabbed her shoulder and shook her. She still didn't move. Blood dripped from his mother's head wound. "Mom! PLEASE GET UP!" Yet as she shook her, she never woke up. The wolf felt as if everything in the world had dissolved. His ears filled with a low ringing, tears steaming down his cheeks. Suddenly, a hand scooped up the wolf. The wolf snapped back to reality as he looked at the figure. It was a fox he recognized. His mother's friend, Ezra. "Its ok, Blaze. I got you." The wolf stayed quiet. His mom was dead. He didn't care anymore. She was gone... forever.
