Chapter 9: The Deciving Feelings

Roren and Titus were new members of the astral order. Roren had Poison Type, Veno, the venomous type, and Titus had Ice Type, Frostbite, the impact type. Both showed up to the training and easily learned their powers. Roren could spew and place venom on his weapons, making them twice as dangerous, while Titus could cool his weapons to the point of frost and strike, causing a weird ice mine to explode on impact. After practice, Mazzy took Blaze to a meadow full of flowers while Roren hid behind some trees. Now, Blaze and Mazzy lay on the ground, staring at the clear blue sky. Blaze sighed softly as he looked at her. "This is nice. To get away from all the drama happening."
"Yea. It makes you forget how we are almost extinct..."
Blaze nodded. "Yea... It does." He felt as if butterflies were flying in his stomach. Mazzy slowly turned to him, staring into his eyes. Both of them stayed quiet. Not moving or anything. Only the breathing between them was heard. Blaze then noticed Mazzy slowly growing closer. Blaze slowly grew closer too, until both their faces were right next to each other. "Blaze..." She spoke. Blaze gave a soft smile. "Mazzy..." Mazzy leaned forward, pressing her lips against his. Blaze immediately felt like his stomach was gonna explode from butterflies. He slowly closed his eyes as he wrapped his arms around Mazzy. They stayed locked in the kiss for a couple minutes before there was a sudden whoosh. Blaze immediately pulled away and rolled to the side as a fist came down where his head was. Blaze immediately got up and turned to see Adieu, his teeth bared. "Adieu what the hell!" Adieu ignored Mazzy's words. He stared at Blaze with malicious intent. Blaze sighed. "I've had enough of you right now, Adieu." Blaze quickly held out his hand and a beam of red fire erupted. Adieu quickly dive out of the way and looked up at him. "W-What?!" Y-You're an Astral?!" Blaze glared. "Leave." Adieu stared with shock in his eyes, but then snarled. He ran at Blaze and jumped, raising his fist to punch Blaze. Blaze took the chance and ignited his fist in the fire, striking him in the chest. Adieu gasped as he was flung to the ground by Blaze's fist. The dirt ground trembled as he hit. Adieu gasped for air, yet, tears started to fall from his eyes. Blaze suddenly extinguished his hands. Blaze could see he was angry, but seemed... sad. Blaze took a step back. "You know why I have been so pissed off at you recently...? Its not because you were being annoying at the fight with Ken... It was because... of her." Blaze turned to Mazzy, who's face was covered by her hands. "The truth is that I was crushing on Nyli... and it made Mazzy angry... we started arguing and then she left... and I have never felt lonelier... and when I saw you with her... I got so pissed... and I realize something... so... I broke it off with Nyli... because I love Mazzy!" Blaze felt a sting in his heart. The first person he kissed... who he thought was gonna be with... had someone else in love with her. Yet at the same time, it didn't hurt as much. "Blaze... I honestly look up to you. You are everything I want to be. Strong, smart, good with the ladies... it just infuriates me that I can't be like you... Now... you are an Astral too... just another thing to add to the list." Blaze suddenly saw what Adieu was. He put on a face, but truly was like him, before he got his powers. He was just wanting to be something more. Blaze looked at Mazzy. "Do you... Do you love him."
"Blaze. I like you... but... I... I do love him..."
Blaze nodded. He took his arm and bit it, drawing blood. "I can't make you all the things you want. But I can make you some of them." He holds Adieu's mouth open. Adieu's eyes widened as Blaze's blood dripped into his mouth. He squirmed, trying to break free. "Just swallow. Trust me." Adieu looked at Blaze and swallowed. He let go and Adieu coughed. "What the fuck!?"
"Where is Nyli?"
"Why?"
"None of your business, where is she?"
"Back at the camp, main cabin."
Blaze nodded. "Mazzy, thank you for caring, but Adieu is your guy." Mazzy looked down. "I-I'm sorry."
"Mazzy... its ok." Blaze quickly turned and rushed the direction of camp. "Uh Blaze? Little help?" Blaze turned and spotted Roren, Adieu's war hammer on his back, pinning him to the ground. Blaze quickly grabbed it and lifted it up. It was tremendously heavy. "Jesus, that's heavy. Listen, I need to get to Nyli?"
"Why is that?" He asked.
"Well... Adieu broke up with Nyli and confessed to Mazzy there and so I'm... gonna go cheer Nyli up."
"Ah-. I see. Go on ahead, I'll catch up."

Blaze burst into the camp, almost sliding to a stop. He turned to the main cabin and quickly ran into it. He looked around, not spotting her. He suddenly spotted Slash and rushed up. "Slash! Where is Nyli?" Slash seemed surprised by his sudden appearance. "Uh... Upstairs." Blaze nodded. "Thank you-" Blaze turned and suddenly slammed into Keado. Blaze backed up, immediately glaring. "You won't be talking to Nyli... you won't ever go near her again." Blaze felt a pang of shock and anger. "What did you do to her.."
"I am protecting her from people like you... inferior hybrids who think they can do whatever they want. And where is Roren; did you kill him too?" Blaze growled. "Roren is my friend, something a cowardly bitch like you wouldn't have..." The main cabin suddenly quieted. Keado's eyes filled with anger. "You DARE speak to me like-"
Suddenly, a hybrid burst into the cabin. "Keado! Nyli just left camp!" Blaze and Keado turned in shock. "How?! I locked her in her room!"
"She broke through the window!"
"Send a patrol after her-"
Blaze immediately started to walk when he felt something trap his foot. He fell over and landed on his chest. He turned over and saw his foot trapped in the gap of Keado's trident. "Not you... We will discuss this when she returns." Blaze looked at Keado, wanting to release his astral energy. Keado started to walk out. "Fucking mutt." Blaze felt his blood boil as Keado said this. "Don't..." Keado turned, glaring. "...Call me... A MUTT!!!!" Blaze dashed forward, freeing his foot. He grabbed his swords and slashed at Keado, a flame following the blade. Keado flew to the side, slamming into the ground, out cold. Blaze wanted to stop but his legs wouldn't let him. He jumped over Marie and Bio who were talking, and slid under Ken's legs. He kept running, unable to stop.

Roushe stood in shock at what had happened. Keado was knocked aside by Blaze like he was a truck hitting a bug. "Did... anyone see why there was fire on... Blaze's swords?" Roushe quickly jumped forward and signed. "He told me about this new enhancement on his swords, able to emit fire through heaters." He lied. A few looked skeptical bit eventually nodded. Slash rushed over to Keado. "Dad!" He knelt next to him. "Holy shit, it cut through his armor." Roushe walked over. Sure enough, two long cuts ranged from Keado's shoulder to hip, burning and smoking. Keado gasped and looked around. "What the hell happened!"
"Blaze charged at you and hit you hard."
"I knew he was trying to kill me!"
"He wasn't Dad, he could have came back and killed you, but he kept running."
"Well still, I want everyone on watch for them... Blaze... and Nyli..."
