Chapter 13: The Aftermath of the Attack

Blaze slowly opened his eyes. He was laying in the battlefield of the attack. Daybreak was near and the smoke had cleared. Blaze slowly sat up, holding his stomach. Pain shot through it. He looked down and saw the wound in his stomach. He looked around seeing the ruined camp. The cabin was burnt to the ground. The tents were ransacked. The grass was burnt to a black. Blaze slowly stood up and limped to a body. It was a tiger hybrid, who he remembered was named Bose. Most his body was burnt, and his throat was slashed open. Blaze looked around. Where are they?! Aqua, Phera, Roushe, Nyli!? Blaze kept looking through the corpses when he heard a weak yell. He quickly looked at the wreckage of the cabin. He rushed over and spotted Adieu, pinned under the rubble. "Adieu!"
"Blaze! Holy shit! Help!" Blaze quickly grabbed the wreckage pinning Adieu to the ground, lifting it up. Adieu pulled himself out. His legs were major dislocated, but not broken. "Why couldn't you use your earth powers?"
"That cloaked guy... the black one, he uses darkness type shade. It blinds opponents and also mutes the opponents abilities. He used it on me and muted my earth powers. Earth also requires steady footing, so I couldn't do that either." Blaze quickly grabbed Adieu's leg and snapped it into place. Adieu yelped in pain. Blaze then snapped the other in and helped Adieu up. "Do you know what happened to the others?"
"They took any alive hybrids and dragged them back to Elementia. I was left since I was knocked out and they thought I was dead."
"And... me?" Blaze looked at himself.
"They said you were killed... you used to much power and overloaded? But clearly not!" Blaze looked down. "My heart must have stopped... All I remember was getting so angry... then a flash... and now I'm here." Blaze then heard the sound of another yell of pain. Blaze quickly rushed over, helping carry Adieu. He then spotted Ken, pinned to the ground with a sword in the ride side of his torso. He was yelling in pain. "Ken!" Blaze set Adieu down and rushed to Ken. Ken looked at Blaze. "H-Hey! They mentioned you were dead! But you're here!" Blaze nodded before yanking the sword out. Ken yelled in pain. "Sorry! This is gonna hurt!" He then held his hand to wound as he started to cauterize it. Ken kept yelling in pain as he burned it. Eventually, the bleeding stopped and Ken calmed down. "T-Thanks."
"Ken, did you see anyone who wasn't taken?" Ken thought for a second. "Yea... Nyli wasn't there..." Blaze felt his blood go cold. "I-Is she dead!?!?! Where is she?!?!"
"Blaze!"
Blaze then felt someone hug him from behind. He breathed in the familiar scent of Nyli. "I heard yelling and rushed over. I'm glad you're ok!" Blaze smiled softly. Ken walked to Adieu and sat. "Blaze... what do we do now?" Nyli slowly let go of Blaze as he turned to Ken. "Well... I don't know... We lost everyone... who knows whats gonna happen to them..."
"They are gonna be held captive..."
Blaze immediately looked up in the tree in front of them. There were four figures in it. Each one were hybrids. Blaze drew one of his swords and Nyli drew her glaive. "Relax. We aren't gonna hurt you." Said a masculine voice. They jumped down reveal a white and cyan wolf, a grey wolf with yellow highlights, a crimson bunny, and a bee. Blaze glared at them and slowly lowered his sword. "I'm Tenel. The leader of this group. The grey wolf is Okami, the bunny is Reso, and the bee is Keiko. We're the Astrays." Ken stood. "Its ok guys... their my friends." Blaze turned to Ken. "You know them?"
"I was one of them for a while. I was part of this and part of the camp."
Keiko walked up to Blaze. "Hey there! Its nice to meet you! What's your name?" She held out her hand. Blaze slowly reached his hand out. "Blaze... Blaze Okami Ashfall."
"Ooooh! You share a name with Okami!" Okami turned away. "Guys... I told y'all to call me by my real name..."
"Yea, but you didn't tell us for months so you're permanently Okami." Said Reso. Okami growled slightly.
"Enough... Blaze... We want to help get your friends back... We know how it is to loose the people you love, and we know where they are being held. The Hybrids are held in a prison near the outskirts where they torture and kill them. Its also used to lure hybrids to capture. We will help as long as we can stick with you afterwards." Blaze nodded his head. "Of course... We need all the help we can get..." Tenel gave a smile. "Then lets plan this escape."
