AFTER CAPTAIN ANDERSEN'S DEATH. The new captain- Who was a total jackass. Wanted new protocol's immediately. All the officer's sat in the briefing room as Sergeant Grey explained the new changes.

"Per Captain Weatherby, the following protocol changes will take place immediately. No more putting any boots on top of lockers. Any boots left on top of lockers will be thrown away at midnight and noon daily" Sergeant Grey explained to his fellow officer, Vienna rolled her eyes. "Second, every officer must provide a business card to every citizen they contact. If a citizen doesn't want a business card, the officer must write a police report and document the fact the citizen refused a business card"

"Sir, with all due respect..." Vienna chimed in from her seat, "This sucks"

"Ours is not to judge, Officer Reyes. Command believes that the captain's focus on efficiency is what Mid-Wilshire needs right now" as Grey finished the door opened and everyone turned their attention to the new captain walking into the room. "Captain. Can I help you?"

"I need an updated vehicle list" Captain Weatherby said walking to the found of the room.

"Yes, sir. I'm in the middle of roll call. I'll get it to you right after" Grey told the man as Reyes and Bradford shared a glance of announcement towards the new captain. "But since you're here, would you like to say anything inspirational to day shift?" The captain glanced at the room full of officers before looking back to the Sergeant.

"Did you tell them about the boots?"

"Yes, sir" Grey replied.

"Oh, okay. Well, uh..." The man paused looking back at the officers and thinking of what to say "Keep up the, uh..." backing towards the door. "...good work" before walking out of the room.

"Alright. Last bit of business" Grey said moving on from the situation. "Distinct Attorney's office has a witness on ice. They need our help watching them" as Officer Nolan raised his hand quickly. "I usually don't assign rookies these types of details, Officer Nolan. And Officer Bishop would have to agree"

"Forget it. Protection details are like watching paint dry" Bishop replied crossing her arms over her chest.

"Looks like you're out of luck"

"I'll do it" Tim spoke up, "And Nolan and I haven't had a chance to bond yet" making a couple other officers laugh"

"Alright. Bishop, you'll be riding with Chen. That's it" Grey told everyone. All the officers stood up before listening to Grey explain the new car rules and then walked out.

"You're right, this sucks" Rossi said to her T.O. while the two walked out the room.

...

"What do you think about the new captain's rules?" Rossi asked her T.O. from the passenger seat.
