I was eager to know what Kaden was going to show me in the meadow that when he feds me, I hurriedly accept and chew on my food.

Slow down, he says through the mind link, I bare him a guilty face before apologizing back through the link.

When the breakfast was over we left the dining and into the woods and in no time we we arrived at the meadow, the meadow was just as breathtaking in the day as it was in the night. It was even more beautiful and they were different colors of flowers I had not seen that night when I shifted.

I look at Kaden and he had a weak smile before saying "This was Freya and I favorite place"

"Oh" I mumbled, why did he take me to a sacred spot he shared with his mate, why did he even let me shift here.

"I was here a day before the mating dance that was held at your former pack. I was angry and sad when James informed me that there would be a mating dance in RedSand and some of the unmated wolves want to participate" Kaden revealed "I never wanted to go back to RedSand but it was the last place she was alive and the day of the mating dance, my wolf grew angry and I ran to your pack, I saw you outside pack ground resting and your scent hit me so hard and I realized that you were my mate. I was surprised and I was trying to process everything, my wolf was scratching and completely livid, then you noticed me and you revealed who you were boldly and when I found out that your father had been the one that killed Freya, I grew angry and disgusted by you immediately" he added

Meaning I had been right at that time, I knew he would reject immediately when the truth of my background comes out into the light. "Why did you not reject me?"

"I wanted to" he confessed "But I didn't because Freya would not want me to, even though at that time I felt like I was betraying her" he truthfully related.

I guess I should be thankful to Freya, she was the reason why I might never get a normal relationship with Kaden but she is also a reason why he thought to give me a chance.

"Tell me about her" I requested as I sat down on the ground. Kaden joins me he contemplates for a moment but he starts talking

"Freya was an orphan, she was five when my father found her at the outskirts of the pack with two other bodies, they were her parents" Kaden breathes, I know he was trying not to feel affected, I feel sadness through our bond, I held his hand.

I was jealous of Freya but Freya had not had everything, she was the legacy of her parents and my father madness destroyed that legacy.

"She lived with us, she was very close to Serena though she was three years older than Serena, they were inseparable while she and I did not really talk much until we were like sixteen, when she was shifting for the first time, I talked her through for a while before my father came along to help her. I was surprised when we turned out be mates when she turned eighteen, I was twenty one at that time, I was searching for my mate, I had just returned from a delegation of Alpha on behalf of my father. The moment I walked into the door and there she was, the one" he smiles.

I smile back, I know he is reminiscing of that day " It is a beautiful thing, Freya was a good person"

"She was a good person, the pack admired her a lot and now she is gone" his smile turns into a sad one, I hung my head low feeling bad, my family had really taken a lot from this pack

"I am sorry for what my family has taken from you, for what you have to suffer" I apologized, my head was still down, I could not bare to look at him in the eyes

"You have suffered as well and I am sorry for making things worst" he lifted my chin, so I meet him, my eyes was glistening with tears but they were yet to come out "Serena came to me after I had shamed you in front of the pack, she said you looked like someone that had been through a lot, I did not really take her words into consideration, I was blinded with rage, I thought you had only been ostracized by your pack but when I saw the scars and the wolfsbane drugging , I knew you had suffered"
