Ravenpaw woke up to the sun rising and the birds chirping. Dustpaw was sharing toungues with Honeypaw. Winterpaw was still asleep in her nest, white Dazzlepaw was just getting up; her mottled fur shining. Flamepaw was trotting up to Foxstar, grinning and ready to learn.

Dazzlepaw glared daggers at Ravenpaw before trotting out of the den to find her mentor. he wished that everyone would stop hating him for things he never did. his mentor, Hornetclaw, was really the only one in the clan that seemed to like having him around. Foxstar thought Ravenpaw deserved nothing, and sometimes didn't let him eat.

Ever since The incident, Nobody in the clan has liked him.

The day Lionfern had died had devastated the clan. He had been born the same day, and they said that his birth was a curse and that it was his fault Lionfern had died. Ravenpaw was pretty sure that Foxstar has killed him; He smelled of blood, and he has a fur tuft in his teeth. Foxstar wasn't the best at hiding things, but the clan feared him, and that's what gave him power. He could do as he pleased and nobody would care, because if they fought back, they'd be dead. Foxstar was everything a fox was -strong, big, powerful- everything.

Ravenpaw hated his clan, and they hated him.

Winterpaw would stretch in her nest and look at Ravenpaw sympathetically. She and Hornetclaw were always there for him, no matter what. They seemed to care, unlike everyone else.

"Good morning, sleepy head," teased Ravenpaw. Him and Winterpaw always teased each other.

"That's because I went on the dawn patrol, what was your excuse?" Winterpaw meowed. Ravenpaw had never been on the dawn patrol, and nobody seemed to let him, although he's been out at night with Hornetclaw, it still wasn't the same thing as going with more cats to patrol the borders of their territory.

"I was out the night with Hornetclaw," he lied, knowing he didn't smell of the forest. He had to make his excuse to sleep somehow, as nobody really cared what he did, as long as he fed everyone.

"I never saw you leave," Winterpaw was catching up to his lie. "You were asleep, deeply asleep" Ravenpaw would continue to lie.

"Okay." Winterpaw would yawn, then stretch in her nest and go out to find her mentor. She knew he would always keep her busy, to keep her away from Ravenpaw. Lionfern's death wasn't even his fault! It was obvious they wanted someone to blame, and he was their target.

Ravenpaw would stalk off to his mentor.

I'll show them. He thought. I'll show them who's really the bad cat here. Then they'll all like me.
