Ravenwing felt terrible. He would never wish death on anyone, yet it's his fault Flamepaw was dead. His lifeless body lied on the ground, bleeding heavily. His neck was torn to shreds, leaving barely anything left holding his head to his body. Fur tufts lay everywhere from the battle, foreverly leaving a trace.
Voleclaw looked at Flamepaw's unmoving body, judging him. What was she thinking? Was she happy he was dead? Surely not! He was a very loyal apprentice, and Ravenwing's lies got him killed. Why did Foxstar just kill him Infront of everyone like that? Wasn't he afraid of getting voted out into exile?
But Foxstar was too strong. He would kill anyone who tried, and that's why he killed Flamepaw, because Ravenwing told him he was trying to fight against his leadership. He'd never forget this. It's his fault he's dead, and now he can't reverse his doings.
"Clan meeting!" Yowled Foxstar on the clan rock. Was he announcing Flamepaw's death? Nearly everyone saw them anyways, so it really didn't matter much.
"We have a big announcement today," Foxstar started. "Flamepaw has disobeyed me one too many times, and now he's dead. I killed him for disobeying my orders. If ANYONE tries to disobey me like that -to try to kill my loyal warriors, or try to challenge my leadership- will have the same fate as Flamepaw." He looked around the clan, slowly moving his eyes to Ravenwing.
What had he done? Just because Lionfern is dead doesn't mean it was his fault! Yeah, maybe Flamepaw's death was his fault, but no one would find out! He wasn't telling the truth, and it gave consequences. Now, a loyal, strong and short-lived apprentice died because of him. Ravenwing shook away his thoughts.
"Next up, I have come to realize that our current deputy isn't doing her job. If she continues to be lazy, and doesn't hunt or fight, she will no longer be able to eat, and shall starve to death." Foxstar growled at Voleclaw's lazy figure. She looked mad at being called lazy, and stood up to intercept.
"I am not lazy! I trained Winterstone fairly and strongly! I hunt every time I go out to hunt! I-" she got cut off by Foxstar jumping down to get in her face.
"The other warriors hunt for you to cover for you. Winterstone told me she had to teach herself, and you'd sit and watch." Growled Foxstar angrily. "This meeting is over."
Ravenwing wanted nothing more but to sleep. To clear his mind of Flamepaw, and everything else. He padded to the warriors den, and saw Winterstone relaxing.
"Hey, Ravenwing." She greeted.
"Hey, Winterstone" he greeted back.
"You okay?" Winterstone seemed concerned. Did she know what he had done? Hopefully not.
"No. Flamepaw didn't deserve to die, even though he's done alot to us. Its my fault." Then he heard Winterstone mutter a song ((GET THE REFERENCE YALL!!!))
"if only, if only, the woodpecker sighed
The bark on the trees was as soft as the skies
As the wolf wait below, hungry and lonely,
He cried to the moon,
If only, if only""What was that? It was beautiful!" Ravenwing looked at Winterstone, who seemed flustered.
"We should get some sleep, Ravenwing." She said quickly.
The both curled up in their nests and slept.
