They had reached the training hollow faster then Ravenpaw had expected. It was a nice, warm day to do some training, and nice weather aswell.
"Let's get this over with," grumbled Voleclaw. Ravenpaw could see why Winterpaw didn't like Voleclaw as her mentor. How did they even get the deputy role? Surely Foxstar knew what he was doing! Or did he just choose her because she was loyal, not caring how lazy she was? The deputy usually made Winterpaw teach herself as Voleclaw would sleep, Voleclaw would never patrol, and she always tried to sneak extra prey.
I hope this deputy dies. He thought. I think an apprentice would be a better deputy then her!
"Alright, you two, time to train. Claws sheathed, teeth sharpened, go!" Meowed Hornetclaw.
Winterpaw would try to pounce on Ravenpaw, but he'd duck under her and paw her stomache. She'd stumble into a tree and hit her head on the bark.
Before she gained balance, Ravenpaw headbutted her onto the ground, then pinned her. Winterpaw tried to free herself, but Ravenpaw was stronger. He'd nip her neck before getting off of her, knowing he had done enough.
"Winterpaw, that was a nice try, but next time, try harder" growled Volelclaw. She acted like she trains her! "Let's head back to camp everyone," replied Hornetclaw.
✨✨✨
As they walked through the thorn barrier, Ravenpaw heard Foxstar yowl, "Clan meeting!"
Ravenpaw would sit next to Winterpaw and Hornet'claw, as always. He watched Dustpaw, Honeypaw and Dazzlepaw sit in excitement.
"Dustpaw, Dazzlepaw and Honeypaw have reached warrior age. They passed their assessment amazingly, catching lots of prey to feed us all tonight. Do you three promise to protect your clan, even at the cost of your life?" Foxstar would say what he always did.
"We do," they'd meow in the three chimed at once.
"Then by the power of StarClan, I grant you your warrior names. Dazzlepaw, you will be known as Dazzlestone, We honor your courage and bravery." Foxstar would touch noses with Dazzlestone.
"Dustpaw, from this moment forward, you will be known as Dustclaw. We honor your strength and loyalty." He'd then touch noses with Dustclaw.
"And Honeypaw, from this moment forward, you will be known as Honeyflare. We honor your loyalty and respect." He'd touch noses before meowing, "the gathering is over. These new warriors will sit their vigil. Everyone may now sleep" Foxstar trotted to his den, leaving the three warriors to sit their silent vigil.
Ravenpaw would pad over to the apprentice den, and slowly fall asleep.
