●CHAPTER 25~

It was almost 11 p.m when Rishabh stopped his jeep in front of Devangini's house. They were married now, legally and socially. The family members had went home to welcome the new bride, and the sounds of firecrackers and band was coming from their house already.

"Mujhe darr lag raha hain Shera. Haan ekbar unke saamne jaana zaroori hain magar..."Devangini said clutching Rishabh's arm.

"Darne ki koi baat nahi hain Gini. Vaise bhi kaunsa waha rehene jaa rahe hain. Aashirwaad lene jaa rahe hain. Phir apney ghar chaley jayenge. Waha wait kar rahe hain sab humara,"Rishabh said.

Devangini nodded and walked into the house, holding his hand, when Tushika saw them coming, as she was sitting near the livingroom's window. She ran outside immediately to greet them. Seeing her, the other family members came out as well.

"Yeh dono yaha? YEH DONO YAHA KIYU AAYE HAIN?"Suranjan yelled at the top of his voice.

Shreyas ran downstairs to find Devangini and Rishabh standing at the door, holding hands, they were wearing garlands and an auspicious gathbandhan tied them.

"Yeh kya karliya tuney Gini?"he said with a sigh.

Rishabh held Devangini's hand tightly and said to Suranjan,"aapke ashirwaad lene aye hain."

Suranjan took out his huge rifle and charged towards Rishabh while yelling,"scoundrel! I will shoot you dead!"

"DAD NO!"Shreyas yelled and stopped him immediately.

"Haan thik hain sir. Shoot toh main bhi kar sakta hu aapko. Lekin aap meri biwi ke papa ho isliye lihaaz kar raha hu. Aap bhi uska samman rakhiye,"Rishabh said.

'SHERA! Dad se aise baat matt karo warna main bhul jaunga ki tum meri behen ki suhaag ho,"Shreyas yelled.

"Shreyas! Tum please shaant ho jaao. Inki baat bhi toh sunlo ekbar,"Tushika said.

"Bhaiyu please. Rishabh bura nahi hain dil ka. Voh bohot pyaar karta hain mujhse aur mujhe bohot khush rakhega,"Devangini said.

"Shut up! Kya jaanti hain tu duniya ke baarein mein? Andaaza bhi hain kuch? Kalko yeh kisi police ke haathon encounter hogaya yah jail chalagaya toh tera kya hoga? Socha hain kabhi? Tujhe bachpan se lekar aajtak sawar ke samhaal ke rakha gaya, kisliye? Ek criminal ke saath bhaag ke shaadi karne ke liye?"Suranjan yelled again.

"Mujhe kuch nahi hoga sir. Aur main apke beti ko bhi protect karke rakhunga har waqt. Main waada karta hu apse,"Rishabh said and chuckled before adding,"vaise bhi itne dino tak aap policewale hamara kuch kar paye nahi. Ageh bhi nahi kar payoge obviously."

Shreyas huffed and sat on the couch staring at Rishabh, not understanding what to say while Suranjan said,"majaal dekho iska."

Darpana walked towards Devangini when Suranjan said,"nahi Darpana, aaj nahi. Yeh ladki humari beti nahi rahi. Abb iss criminal ki patni hain."

"Dad!"Devangini exclaimed and tears flowed down her eyes, which made Rishabh's heart ache.

"Toh aap kya chahte hain? Reh payenge aapke beti seh mooh modhke puri zindagi?"Rishabh asked Suranjan.

"Meri beti, meri beti rahi hi kaha aur? Tumne jo kaala jaadu kardiya hain uspe,"Suranjan yelled.

"DAD PLEASE! Rishabh pati hain mere. Aise baatein matt kijiye aap ussey. Hum toh sirf ashirwaad lena chahatey theh aap sabka,"Devangini pleaded.

"Bohot pyaar hain na tujhe issey? Patti bandhi pari hain aankhon pe pyaar ki. Chal thik hain, chhay mahine deta hoon isey. Agar yeh apne dam pe, bina apne khaandaan ke unn haraam ke kamaye huye daulat aur alishaan ghar ke, aur apne khaandaan ke pouch ke bahar jaake, tujhe khila saake, tujhe khush rakh saake. Ek aam ladke ki tarha zindegi guzaar sakeh bina koi crime kiye, toh main isey teri pati maan loonga, aur tujhe apni beti,"Suranjan said.
