On the outside, house YK 04 on Baobab Drive in Norren Court did not look any different. The interior however was a completely different story.
The beauty began from the hallway where the wood panels had been extended beyond the full length mirror that came with the property. In front of the newly panelled wall sat a floating storage unit and a round golden framed mirror for the selfies Asiyah looked forward to. The chandelier was a contemporary design Hanan recommended and it fit the foyer's aesthetics perfectly. There were also faux plants in vases, all thanks to Ikea.

The guest bathroom had been stocked up. Cute little bottles of hand wash and air fresheners, unopened toilet rolls, mini soap bars and scented sticks lined the in-wall recess. Asiyah had excruciatingly ensured everything matched the bathroom's beige interior. On the newly installed rack were small towels, neatly folded in laundry bags and stacked above each other. A mop sat in a corner along with a toilet brush, detergent and disinfectant.
The windows of the living and dining rooms were covered with brown-red blackout curtains which once again were from Ikea. It had taken time to get as Asiyah was adamant on getting curtains that went well with the wood panelled wall where the 75 inch smart TV was mounted, right above the console which was a furnishing that came with the house itself.
Mas'ood's bachelor sectional sofa set was gone and in its place were luxury beige Rocky chesterfield sofas and accompanying cushions. The three seater sat directly facing the TV while two 2-seaters sat facing themselves. All the sofas had their foot on the plush centre rug and there was a side coffee table too.

Asiyah chose for them an Abby dining table. She loved the fact that the table rotated. The beautiful combination of glass and metal with polished chrome finish was an added bonus. The chairs were also from Abby: low arms, 360o swivel base with wide seating which had accented honeycomb quilted fabric. A credenza was pushed against the wall and a rectangular mirror hung horizontally right above it.
