"Mhm...." Minho groaned softly in his sleep, twisting and turning on the King sized bed as the poor blankets fell off of him onto the wooden floor, leaving him exposed to the bitterly cold air seeping into his room through the slightly open window.
No......
No..........
"NO!" Minho bolted upright from his bed, forehead sticky with cold sweat, just as his alarm began ringing obnoxiously.
Another bad dream.
Minho sighed, slamming his hand on the alarm clock as he switched it off. He had meant to fall asleep once again but the nightmare had left him shaken up. Also, his phone seemed to be vibrating itself off the desk. Minho had an idea about who was spamming him so much, so, to spare his phone's memory, and the poor guy's mental health, he quickly picked the device up, blindly pressing on the most recent missed call out of the seventy missed calls crowding his home screen.
"Oh thank God you're alive!" A panicked voice screeched through the phone as soon as the person picked up the call. Luckily, having the foresight to keep his phone three feet away from his ear, Minho didn't come across the misfortune of having his eardrums busted by said person.
"I wouldn't die in my sleep, Chan." Minho sighed, as if he was used to this ordeal. Chan cleared his throat.
"Well, you might die. From fright" He said matter-of-factly. "I am working on getting your meds but every pharmacy I've tried reaching out to says that the medicine is out of stock-"
Minho cut the older off with a small laugh. "You don't need to worry so much, hyung. I can live without the meds, ya know? I haven't had any problems yet" He heard Chan sigh from the other side of the line.
"That you know of. But you still need them don't you? I dont want you to have one of your episodes all of a sudden one fine day and I may not be close by when it happens or maybe your condition will get worse or-" Minho once again cut the older off, shushing him.
"I think your the one who needs to calm down right now, hyung" He said soothingly.
"I am calm" Chan said in a high pitched voice. "Absolutely calm."
"Yeah right" Minho chuckled.
"Well, anyways," the older started, eager to change the topic. "Do you maybe wanna come over for dinner today? It's lonely for you I'm pretty sure, so you can come over for the night. Changbin and Felix will be there."
Minho sighed as he got up from the bed and walked into the bathroom. "I'm not sure, hyung. I think I'll stay at home today."
"Oh. Okay" Minho could hear the disappointment evident in Chan's voice. "Well, tell me if you ever think of changing your plans."
"Will do."
"Bye. Take care."
"Bye"
Minho cut the call and kept his phone away from the sink as he splashed his face and brushed his teeth. Coming out of the bathroom, he made way towards the kitchen which wasn't very far. His flat, being smaller than average still had space to move around because of his regular cleaning. The tiny kitchen had a large window, brimming with indoor plants, the size quite disproportionate as compared to the rest of the kitchen. Minho opened the creaking window, surprised and happy to see that he hadn't closed or locked it last night before going to bed, which meant he wasn't feeling as paranoid as other days.
Minho began pulling out cooking utensils and ingredients to make eggs and toast from the fridge, placing everything on the counter and going to wash the vegetables under the sink.
"Howdy neighbour!"
The onions Minho was holding flew out of his hands, landing on the floor one on top of the other. He cringed at the series of thumps before turning around. Hands shaking as he turned off the tap, Minho ran to the kitchen window, yelping when he saw a figure perched on the window sill.
