Jisung's POV
I sighed, staring at the black band on my wrist, laying on the bed lazily amongst a mess of pillows and blankets.
I hate cheesecake.
I couldn't believe my luck. How could I end up being soulmates with a person who hated cheesecake?!
Yeah, uh, I think I should back up a bit.
So basically, this is a world in which soulmates is a real thing. Not something you find in books or movies. It's a real concept. And you usually get your soulmate band once you turn eighteen. A soulmate band, is a black band that appears on the left wrist on your eighteenth birthday, and the words written on it are the first words your soulmate will speak to you once you meet him or her.
And here I am, a nineteen year old depressed teenager who's stuck staring at the soulmate band and not his real soulmate.
To be honest though, I was secretly happy that I didn't meet my soulmate yet. I don't think I would be able to handle the shock of hearing 'I hate cheescake' from the person I am potentially supposed to spend my life with.
"JISUNG!" Screamed my roommate, Felix suddenly from downstairs, making me fall of the bed in shock, my train of thoughts crashing into the bed frame. I groaned loudly.
"WHAT?!" I yelled back angrily.
"DRAG YOUR LAZY ASS OFF THE BED AND COME DOWNSTAIRS!"
I huffed, getting up and flopping down onto the bed once again. "No thanks!" I yelled, indifferently.
"HAN JISUNG YOU COME DOWN HERE THIS INSTANT OR ELSE-"
"OR ELSE WHAT?!"
There was a brief silence, in which I envisioned Felix's mischeivous mind working, the gears of his brain turning as he figured out a way to bait me.
"OR ELSE I'LL KEEP TALKING ABOUT HYUNJIN TILL YOU BEG ME TO END YOUR MISERY!" Felix cackled like a maniac in his deep voice, knowing that he won. I groaned, rolling off the bed and 'dragging my lazy ass' down the stairs.
"Coming!" I grumbled under my breath, walking into the kitchen and spotting Felix, furiously stirring something. He looked up and I raised an eyebrow. "What did you interrupt my sleep for?"
The latter scoffed sarcastically. "Oh come on" He said. "I think we both know that your definition of sleep, is actually staring at your soulmate band for hours wondering how the fuck you could end up with a person who hates your first love."
I sighed. "You didn't have to call me out like that" I mumbled, my cheeks growing red.
"Anyways, so, I called you downstairs because I want to take you to that new café with me-"
"NO" I said immediately, not even letting Felix finish his sentence.
"Why?" The younger whined and I immediately looked away, knowing that he was making his famous puppy dog eyes which I was not about to fall for.
"Please" He whined, pouting softly, all sass and sarcasm gone. "Please Hannie...."
I was still determinely avoiding eye contact with Felix.
"I'll buy you cheesecake" He ventured and I groaned loudly.
"Fine" I grumbled.
"Yayayayay!" Felix squealed excitedly.
"One condition though!" I stopped his happy dance quickly. "I better not be third wheeling with you and Hyunjin."
"How did you know I was planning on inviting Hyunjin?!" Felix panicked, wondering if I read his mind or something. I laughed internally at that, quirking an eyebrow.
