A soul finds itself in a new world, reincarnated in the body of a new born. He soon finds out that his world isn't as simple as it is. With the help of magic, will he be able to grow to overcome any and all his challenges? Or will he ultimately end...
Grandpa Virion, Tessia, Rinia, and I were currently seated around a circular table, with a jar of water placed in the middle.
"Umm... Elder Rinia? You mentioned that you were a diviner, right? I'm a little confused about what exactly it is that you can do. Gramps said that I could find out about the well-being of my family by seeing you," I inquired, my gaze fixed curiously on the jar of water.
"Kekeke! Gramps, huh? Virion, you've really let yourself go if you're allowing youngsters like him to call you that," she snickered.
"Bah! He's an exception! If any other brat dares to call me something like Gramps, I'll have them hung upside down and beaten with a cactus!" He grinned back at me, his eyes meeting mine.
Such a vivid description.
Glaring at me, Rinia snapped, "Brat! You don't even know where your family is, yet you want to wander all over Sapin, find them, and then come back here for training? You'd be dead by the time you make it back."
I looked at Grandpa Virion. Did he tell her? Almost as if he knew what I was thinking, he chuckled. "I didn't tell Rinia any of this. There's not much you can hide from her, but she usually doesn't bother prying into a person's affairs. What's gotten you so curious, Rinia?" Gramps said, casting a worried glance at the elderly lady.
"You and I both know he's special. In fact, he's so special that there are aspects of his life even I cannot see. Arthur, whatever beast bestowed its will upon you, it's no ordinary creature. To classify it as an SS class would be an understatement," she pondered for a moment before continuing.
"But enough about that. Arthur, you're here to see your family, and that's what I'll assist you with. Close your eyes for a moment and visualize a member of your family. Focus on their appearance and their mana signature. I'll take care of the rest."
I closed my eyes and summoned the image of the last time I saw him—my brother—and how I pushed him and our mother away from the spell that sent me tumbling off the cliff.
"Alright, you can open your eyes now."
I looked at Rinia, only to see her eyes swirling with color. The water in the jar began to float and swirl around, forming a spinning vortex.
However, what appeared inside was not my brother. Instead, a man with long black hair and piercing red eyes stood before me. I couldn't discern his body shape or see the details of his face—except for his intense eyes.

Time seemed to stand still, but it wasn't the same inverted lens effect as before. Everything appeared normal, as if time had come to a halt while retaining its natural appearance.
The man continued to gaze at me, while I attempted to tense my muscles, only to realize that I couldn't. In fact, I couldn't even breathe.
"A lesser species attempting to intrude upon my domain?" He gave a cocky smirk as he gracefully sat down, his long black hair flowing wildly behind him, seemingly reflecting the abyss itself.
