After a few hours, Aarohi slowly regained consciousness, her eyelids fluttering open to the soft light of the hospital room. She blinked a few times, trying to make sense of her surroundings, and then spotted Rashmika sitting beside her, her expression a mixture of relief and worry. The moment Rashmika saw Aarohi's eyes open, she couldn't contain herself and enveloped her in a tight hug.
"Tu pagal hai, Aaru? Pata hai kitna dara diya tha tune!" Rashmika exclaimed, her voice laced with both frustration and affection.
Aarohi took a deep breath, shaking her head slightly. "Rash, mein theek hoon," she reassured, though the tremor in her voice betrayed her uncertainty.
Rashmika pulled back, her eyes narrowed, crossing her arms defiantly. "Theek ho? You know jab Raj tumhe hospital mein leke aaya, tumhari halat kitni kharab thi... Saas tak li nahi ja rahi thi tujhse," she said, her tone shifting from anger to genuine concern.
Aarohi looked at Rashmika's worried face, the guilt flooding in as she realized the impact her actions had caused.
"Sorry nahi, Rash," Aarohi managed, her voice softening.
"Do hell with your sorry! Kya lene gayi thi tu waha? Tujhe mana kiya tha na Raj ne ghar se nikalne se... Lekin nahi, main toh Aarohi hoon na. Kissi ki baat kyun maanun, aur Rajveer Bhai ka toh sawal hi paida nahi hota hai, na?" Rashmika shot back, her frustration bubbling over.
Aarohi sighed, trying to explain. "Rash, aisi baat nahi hai... Woh jab tu hospital ke liye nikli, main bore ho gayi aur shopping chali gayi. Jab mein mall pahunchi, dekha kuch log ik ladki ke saath badtameezi kar rahe the. Mene security guard ko bataya, aur usne un larkon ko bhaga diya. Uske baad, jab mein shopping kar rahi thi, mujhe laga koi mera picha kar raha hai. Toh mein ghar jaane lagi, tabhi mera sir pe kisi ne jorse waar kiya... Fir mujhe kuch yaad nahi raha..." Aarohi's voice trailed off as she recalled the traumatic incident.
Just then, a voice came from the door. "Toh mene bola tha na agar kuch aisa ho toh mujhe phone kar dena."
Aarohi turned, startled. "Woh, woh... mein—"
Rashmika jumped in, irritation spilling over. "Bol kyun nahi bataya kisi ko? Mujhe phone kar deti, at least."
Aarohi sighed again, frustration mingling with regret. "Mere dimag mein hi nahi aaya," she replied sheepishly.
"Wah! Agar uss minister ka phone trace na hota toh... Socha hai tune kya hota? Ik number ki befkuff hai tu... Tu apna phone de, tujhe ise rakhne ka koi haq nahi hai!" Rashmika declared, her hands on her hips, trying to rein in her friend's reckless tendencies.
"Rash, kya tu daate hi jaa rahi hai? Aur Mr. ACP, aap aise kyun ghur rahe ho mujhe?" Aarohi shot back, a hint of defiance in her tone.
Rashmika rolled her eyes. "Tujhse ik phone bhi nahi hua aur mujhe gyan de rahi hai? Muh mein dahi jama hua tha tera," she quipped, trying to lighten the mood.
Rajveer interjected, his tone teasing. "Rash, iske dimag ke sath sath muh mein bhi jang lag gayi hai," he said, a playful smirk on his face.
Vijay, unable to hold back any longer, chimed in. "Are bhai, bas karo tum dono! Kyun meri behan ke peeche pade huye ho? Abhi abhi toh usko hosh aaya hai. Itne taane doge na toh firse behosh ho jayegi. Bechari ko daant daant ke kya haal kar diya hai!" he exclaimed, shaking his head.
Aarohi looked at her brother with gratitude. "Bhai, sirf aap hi ho jisse meri fikar hai," she said, her voice sincere as she hugged him tightly.
Vijay returned the embrace, his smile reassuring. "Kaisi hai ab tu?"
Aarohi replied with a hint of sarcasm, "Jab se uthi hoon, taane kha rahi hoon. Kaisi ho sakti hoon?"
"Yeh dono toh hain hi pathardil! Meri pyaari behan, acha kya khayegi... In dono ne toh bas tera dimag hi khaya hoga," Vijay teased, directing his comments towards Rashmika and Rajveer.
Aarohi nodded, a smirk on her lips. "Aur nahi toh kya?"
Rashmika and Rajveer exchanged exasperated glances, rolling their eyes at the melodrama unfolding before them.
Rashmika leaned closer to Rajveer, whispering, "Are they both for real, bhai?"
Rajveer chuckled softly. "Kya namune hain yaar... Tera wala toh zyada hi hai," he replied, shaking his head in disbelief.
"Apke wali bhi kam nahi hai," Rashmika shot back, playfully challenging him.
"Excuse me? Mere wali matlab?" Rajveer raised an eyebrow, feigning offense.
"Are flow flow mein nikal gaya, bhai!" Rashmika retorted with a laugh.
"Haalaat toh tumhara bhi kuch nahi hai," Rajveer countered, enjoying the banter.
Vijay interrupted, "O bhai behan ki jodi, agar hamari chugliyan khatam ho gayi ho toh meri baat suno."
Rajveer leaned in. "Firstly, ham kisi ki chugliyan nahi kar rahe the. Itna faltu time nahi hai hamare paas... Aur secondly, bol kya hai?"
"Tu yaha ruk meri behan ke paas, mein aur Rash abhi kuch khaane ke liye leke aate hain," Vijay instructed, ready to step out.
"Haaan, chalo, bahut bhukh lagi hai," Rashmika agreed, her eyes brightening at the thought of food.
"Behind you, mam," Vijay said, gesturing for her to lead the way.
They both walked out, leaving a comfortable silence in the room.
As Aarohi lay back against the pillows, her thoughts turned inward. Yeh khadoos mujhse baat kyun nahi kar raha? Mujhe to laga tha Rash ke sath sath yeh bhi futega mujhpe, lekin yeh toh kuch bol hi nahi raha...
"Mr. ACP, woh minister pakda gaya?" Aarohi ventured, breaking the silence.
Rajveer responded with a curt, "Hm."
Aarohi frowned slightly, not satisfied. "Meri gawahi ka kya?" she pressed on.
"No need," Rajveer replied tersely.
"Aise kaise? I mean, uske bina uske khilaaf proof jyada strong nahi honge na?" Aarohi challenged, a hint of concern creeping into her voice.
Rajveer shrugged, a glint of confidence in his eyes. "I handled it."
Aarohi raised an eyebrow. "Sajha mil gayi usko?"
"Hmm," Rajveer confirmed.
Aarohi shifted, her irritation growing. "Yaar, tum aise kaise baat kar rahe ho?"
"What?" Rajveer asked, feigning ignorance.
"Yeh aise... Agar mujhpe gussa aa raha hai toh boldo, yeh kya hai?" Aarohi insisted, her eyes searching his for answers.
Rajveer's gaze hardened. "Kya?"
"Why are you ignoring me? Aur udar kaun baitha... Talk to me... I'm here, yaha ki deeware baatein nahi karti," Aarohi said, frustration bubbling over. Rajveer sighed, rolling his eyes
