Before Rajveer could respond, the nurse walked into the room with a warm smile. "Hello, Dr. Aarohi... Abh kaisi tabiyat hai apki?"

Aarohi forced a smile, feeling a mix of relief and annoyance. "Ji, Tulsi ji, I'm fine," she replied, her voice steadier than she felt.

"Accha, to chalo, injection ke liye ready ho," the nurse said cheerfully, preparing to administer the shot.

"What?! No!" Aarohi protested, sitting up slightly. "Mera matlab hai, yeh injection ki kya zaroorat hai? Mein toh theek hoon ab," she insisted, her eyes wide with disbelief.

Rajveer smirked, unable to resist the jab. "Kya toofaan mail, doctor hokar injection se darti ho?"

Aarohi shot him an incredulous look. "Hey you, Mr. Khadoos! Main kisi se nahi darti!"

"Really?" Rajveer said, sarcasm dripping from his tone.

Tulsi, the nurse, intervened gently. "Doctor, bas thora sa dard hoga," she assured, her demeanor calming.

Rajveer waved his hand dismissively. "Are rehne dijiye na, Tulsi ji! Agar mar gayi toh... Maine dekha hai, kai baar galat injection lagne ki wajah se log parlok yatra pe chale jaate hain!" His voice was exaggerated, and he struggled to suppress his laughter.

Aarohi's heart sank as she glanced at him, his playful grin contrasting with her worries. What if he's right? She felt a wave of anxiety wash over her.

"Sach mein," Rajveer said, trying to sound sincere but clearly enjoying the banter.

Just then, someone approached from behind and twisted his ear, startling him. "Ouch, Dad! Kya kar raha ho aap?" Rajveer winced, turning to face his father, Shashank.

"Merii chhod! Tu bechari bachi ko yeh kya kahaniya suna raha hai?" Shashank scolded, shaking his head in disbelief.

Rajveer pouted. "To uske badle mera kaan se loge aap? Thodi to izzat karo meri... ACP hoon main," he said defensively.

Shashank chuckled, "Khota kis se tha da... Hatt! Izzat karne ko tu hi toh hai. Baaki sab toh vehle hain na! Bas aap hi toh duniya ko apne kando pe baitha ke rakha hai," he teased.

Rupali, his mother, chimed in, moving closer to Aarohi. "Kya mujhe yeh jaanne ki ijazat hai ki yeh injection kyun nahi laga rahi aap?"

Shashank nodded in agreement. "Are agar injection nahi lagao gi to theek kaise hogi beta? Kamzori rahegi woh alag," he added, trying to persuade her.

"Bilkul sahi kaha Shashank ne. Chal, chup chaap laga," Rupali urged.

Aarohi shook her head firmly. "Woh, ma'am, mujhe nahi pasand yeh..."

Rajveer couldn't help but taunt her. "Khud injection nahi laga sakti aur bachon ko gyaan deti hai strong banne ka."

As soon as he finished, two pairs of angry eyes fixed on him—Aarohi and Rupali. He quickly shut his mouth, feeling the weight of their glares.

Shashank intervened, trying to defuse the situation. "Iski baatein ko ignore kar, beta. Aur kuch nahi hoga. It's just an injection."

"Aur nahi toh kya? Chalo apni bajao," Rupali said, signaling the nurse.

The nurse moved closer, and Aarohi reluctantly held out her arm. She winced as the needle pierced her skin. "Bas ho gaya... pata chala," she murmured, feeling the sharp sting dissipate quickly.

Rajveer leaned back, shaking his head in mock disbelief. "Kya mom, kaise kaise doctor rakhe hain! Injection se darti hai... Seriously, toofaan mail," he teased again.

Aarohi shot back, "Woh mein tumhaari tarah bedil nahi hun, na Mr. ACP. I'm human, aur mere paanchon senses kaam karte hain!"

Rajveer smirked. "Senses to karte hain, pata nahi dimaag kahan pe deke rakha hai," he replied, rolling his eyes.

Shashank spoke up again, "Aarohi, tum kuch din rest karlo. Jab achi tarah theek ho jao, to rejoin kar lena. Take leave for a day or two."

"Sir, iski zaroorat nahi hai. I am quite well. Infact, mein toh abhi duty pe..." Aarohi argued, determined to return to her responsibilities.

"Yeh koi zaroorat nahi hai. Kal aana aaram se," Rupali insisted gently, wanting her daughter to prioritize her health.

"To abh mein jao ghar?" Aarohi asked, hopeful.

"Haaan, if you are okay, jao. Yeh Dr. Rashmika kaha chali gayi?" Rupali inquired, glancing around the room.

Rajveer answered, "Woh Vijay ke saath gayi hai."

Shashank nodded. "Okay then. Jab aayegi, tabh chali jaana. Vijay drop kar dega, I guess tum dono ko," he added, looking satisfied with the plan.

Just then, Vijay appeared from behind. "Kyun nahi, uncle?" he said, wrapping his arms around Shashank in a friendly hug.

"Are waah! Abhi tujhe yaad kar raha tha," Shashank said, his expression warm.

Rajveer chimed in playfully, "Woh kya kehta hai... Haan, naam liya aur shaitan haazir!"

"Tu chup kar!" Rupali scolded, trying to keep things light.

"Vijay, kaise hai bete?" she asked, smiling.

Vijay hugged her back. "Main bindas hoon, lekin yeh hai na aapka ladla, mera jeena haram kar rakha hai isne. Ghar ghar ke dara deta hai mujhe," he complained, a mock pout on his face.

"Are chhod isse! Aur yeh bata, shaadi kab hai?" Rupali pressed, eager for details.

Vijay blushed, glancing sideways. "Are kaki, kya aap bhi..."

Aarohi watched the exchange, laughing lightly. "Haan bhai, kab hai shaadi?"

"Woh... hehee mujhe sharm aa rahi hein" Vijay stammered, clearly flustered taking his face in his hand covering it

Rajveer laughed, "Rash, iska kuch nahi hoga tu bol."

Rashmika entered the room, her eyes sparkling. "Bhai, Dad bol rahe hain agle hafte Mom aayengi to fir roka ceremony karenge."

"Are waah! Yeh toh bahut achi khabar hai!" Rupali exclaimed, clearly delighted.

Aarohi cheered, "Mere bhai ki shaadi... Wow, kitna maza aayega!"

"Achha bachu, bhai ki shaadi!" Rashmika echoed, unable to contain her excitement.

Aarohi hugged her tightly. "Are meri besti ki shaadi mere bhai se, kitna maza aayega!"

As congratulations filled the room, Rajveer looked at his parents. "Aah, Mom, Dad, aap log jao. Mujhe thoda kaam hai."

Shashank raised an eyebrow. "Are raat ko kya kaam hai tujhe?"

Rajveer replied nonchalantly, "Dad, officer hoon, kaam to hoga hi na."

"11 baje se pehle ghar aa jana," Rupali instructed, her tone motherly yet firm.

"Ji, Maatashree," Rajveer replied with a mock salute, smirking.

They nodded and left, heading home with lighter hearts.

After some time, Vijay prepared to drop both girls to their abode. Rashmika was animatedly chatting with him, while Aarohi, feeling a bit bored, started reading a book. Suddenly, her mobile rang, breaking her concentration. She glanced at the screen and her eyes widened in surprise at the caller ID.
