Jake comes from a rich family with successful careers. He loves his parents deeply, and he could tell anyone in many ways why he loves them that much.

The things that they would do for him were listen to him, have fun together, show him love, care for him, give him all the attention, and when he fell, they always cheered for him to get back up.

But that started to change when Jake turned 15, without knowing the reason for the sudden change. Jake noticed something new about him at the age of 15, which was that he found himself attracted to boys.

I mean, it was quite obvious for Jake the way he never looked the girl's way. But when they look his way, he rejects them politely by telling them he can't return the feelings and thanks them for liking him.

One day Jake started to have a little crush on a guy who was full of smiles and had a friendly manner. The guy approached Jake, introducing himself as Kim Sunoo. That's when Jake knew he was gay.

Jake and Sunoo became friends, and as each day went by, Jake and Sunoo became best friends. The feelings he had for Sunoo started to wear off on Jake.

Another guy joins the group of best friends; his name is Jungwon. He was cute and attractive, but Jake never had a crush on him. Jungwon was like a mother type to Jake, which wasn't his type—not that he didn't like it, but just not his type.

Jake feels like he shouldn't keep the fact that he is gay from his best friends. So he had the courage to meet up with them and tell them. They gave him open arms by attacking him with hugs and telling him they would always be there for Jake.

For some reason, this urged feeling was that he wanted to tell his parents because he didn't want that to be kept from them. Jake was scared for his life, and he started to think of so many things that could happen when he did. He was praying that it would go well.

The funny thing for Jake was that he was telling this news on his birthday, when he turned 15. Jake was sweating and shaking, so he decided to practice in the mirror. His parents called him downstairs to celebrate his birthday at the dinner table.

Jake blows out the candle on the cake. "I can't believe my baby is 15 years old," Mom said. Mom started to get emotional; it seems like yesterday that she held Jake in her arms. Jake just smiles.

"Son, now that you turn 15, have you found a crush?" Dad said, smiling and raising his eyebrows up and down. Jake was caught off guard by the sudden question.

Jake took a deep breath. This is the time he should confess. Jake gives his parents an awkward smile and changes his position in his chair.

"I've got something I should tell you guys," "Jake said. Mom and Dad's faces changed to serious mode; they wanted to know what their son had to say.

"I'm gay," Jake said nervously. "Wow," Dad said with a smile, not really comprehending what he was saying. "Wait, huh?" Dad said as the words hit him, making him get out of the chair with a surprise look.

Mom was stunned, a hand covering her mouth. Jake didn't see any disgust, so what's with their reactions? "I didn't expect this to happen; I thought he would be bisexual like us," Dad said, smiling, crossing his arms and pacing back and forth.

Mom stands up and goes to her husband to calm him down, placing a hand on his shoulder. Jake was so confused about what the hell was going on. Mom turned toward me with a smile as she noticed the confused look on my face.

Mom laughs. "I'm sorry Jake, it's ok. Me and you're dad are just shocked with happiness. We thought you would be bisexual like us, but I guess not," Mom said.

"I'm so lost," Jake said. He couldn't believe what was going on. Mom and Dad begin to laugh of what a family they are. "Jake, the thing is, you don't have to worry about being gay since we are technically gay ourselves," Dad said, smiling and shrugging.

"Well, that was easy," Jake said, laughing. "Happy Birthday, Jake, we love you," Mom and Dad said. Mom kissed his cheek and hugged him. Dad kissed him on the head and also hugged him. Jake was so happy to have them as parents that he wished this could last forever.

Mom's phone rings as she takes it. Her face drops; she can't believe that she has a lot of work to do. "I'm sorry guys, I have to get to the hospital. Love you," Mom said. She kissed her husband on his cheek and kissed Jake on his, then left the house with her keys and coat.

Jake never knew that was the last day he would receive her attention. "Well, I guess it's just me and you, son," Dad said with a smile. But his dad received a call to be in court or else.

Dad's face is saddened as he turns his attention to Jake's not wanting to leave. "Jake, I'm sorry I have to go do some business. I love you, ok, and keep the door locked," Dad said, patting him on the head, grabbing his keys, and leaving. That was the last day to receive his attention.
