Jake pulls over and parks by the sidewalk. He gets out of the car and walks towards the door of a cafe.

The woman asks for him to wait there to be picked up so they can go to the adoption center to fill out the paperwork.

Jake goes to the register to get him a cup of coffee. He paid for it and found him a spot to sit down and patiently wait on the woman. The woman walks in with the baby in the car seat.

She's wearing a casual outfit of a long, skinny black sleeve shirt with jeans and a sweater, and she has short hair at her shoulders. She had bags under her eyes, and her puffy face seemed like she had been crying over the night.

Jake gets up and pulls the seat out for her. "Thank you. I'm sorry I should have stayed in the car for you to come out," the woman said, placing the baby car seat beside the chair beside her. Jake smiles and shakes his head.

"We should get to know each other, then we can head on to the adoption center," Jake said with a smile.

The woman nods, giving him a little smile, as she couldn't believe he wanted to get to know her.

"Well, I'm Jeong Haneul, 24 years old, with a baby boy named Jeong Si-woo. I used to be cheerful and friendly, and I always liked going out. I met a man that I thought was the sweetest person and a gentleman, but I fell for his trap. He got me pregnant and cheated on me with someone else".

Haneul said with a sigh, swaying back and forward. Jake was listening carefully, staring into her eyes. "Once he left, I found out I was pregnant and also found out that I was showing symptoms of cancer," Haneul said, trying to hold her tears back.

Jake hands her the tissue that was placed in the center of the table. "So enough of me; what's your name and how old are you?" Haneul said.

Jake gives her a little smile and begins to speak. "My name is Sim Jaeyun but you can call me Jake I'm 19 years old, friendly, and need a lot of attention," Jake said.

"My parents used to give me that, but now they barely do since they're always busy," Jake said, devastated. Haneul noticed that Jake was down.

"There must be a reason why they became so busy," Haneul said. "What possible reason could there be" Jake said as he huffed. "You just have to wait at times for things to sort out on their own," Haneul said with a smile.

"I guess," Jake shrugs. Jake's eyes go to the baby in the car seat. "Can I hold him" Jake asks. "Of course you're more than welcome too," Haneul said.

Haneul unbuckles Si-woo from the seat, standing up to pick him up and place him in Jake's arms. Jake holds him carefully, smiling at his features.

Si-woo had dark brown eyes and curly baby hair that was brushed down. Si-woo wraps his hand around Jake's fingers and smiles at him. Haneul was surprised because when strangers hold him, he doesn't give them a smile, but she sees that he warmed up to Jake.

Jake giggles at how cute the baby is. He can just tell for sure that his best friends Sunoo and Jungwon wouldn't put the baby down for a minute.

"He's so cute, Haneul; he has cute dark brown eyes like you," Jake said, smiling. Haneul let out a laugh to herself. She hasn't had the time to laugh or smile with everything that's happening to her.

"I notice that about him," Haneul said, as the smile wouldn't leave her face. She picks up her phone to see what time it is and sees that it's 3:45 p.m.

"Jake, we should get going now to the adoption center," Haneul said. "Oh well, let's go," Jake said. He gets up and puts the Si-woo back in his car seat, buckling him up and carrying the handle on his arm. Jake and Haneul walked out the door and stood and looked at each other.

"Are you driving, or do you want me to drive"
Jake said with a laugh. "I can drive, don't worry," Haneul said when she chuckled. Haneul opens the back door for Jake to put Si-woo in the backseat with the seat belt buckled over the car seat.

Haneul closes the back door and walks over to the driver's seat, letting herself into the car. Jake opens the passenger seat and sits down, buckling in.
