Jake noticed how busy his mom and dad became. All they do now is make dinner and lunch, leaving them in the fridge.

They come home late, tired, with depressed looks on their faces. Mom kisses him on the cheeks, and Dad ruffles his hair, and they head upstairs, going straight to bed.

The process repeats itself constantly, over and over again. Jake stopped waiting at the dinner table and closed himself in his room. Why do they not want to give him their attention anymore.

This went on for three years.

3 years later....

Jake is now 19; he wanted to plan something to get his parents attention back, and by doing so, he thought he should get himself into trouble.

Jake started to drink and get into fights, hoping his parents would show a reaction, but they never did, unless that's what he thought. Jake over drank one day and came home so drunk with bruises on his face that he passed out on the couch.

Mom comes home, treats his wounds, and cries to herself. She stands up, gets the blanket off the other couch, and lays it out on Jake. She heads her way upstairs, wiping her tears that just wouldn't stop falling.

The next day, Jake wakes up and sees the blanket; once he does, he throws it off of him. When the plan doesn't go well, he pictures it. Jake had enough, so he went for a drive on his motorcycle to take things off his mind.

Jake is on his motorcycle when he gets a call from his best friend, Jungwon. He reaches for his pocket to take his call, not focusing on the road. He pulls the phone out and answers it.

"Hey Jungwon, what is it that you— Jake cut his sentence off, looking back at the road as a car was coming straight forward to him. He was going to crash into the car.

So Jake turns his motorcycle hard in the opposite direction to avoid crashing into the car. But the motorcycle turned sideways, leaving Jake to fall on his side.

Jungwon hears a loud sound from the phone, with Jake groaning and cursing under his breath. Jake reaches for his phone. "Jake, are you okay" Jungwon spoke with a voice filled with worry.

"Yes, I'm ok, Jungwon." I just almost crashed into a car with my motorcycle," Jake said, getting up and holding the side of his waist and hissing at the way it hurt.

"What are you injured for?" Jungwon said. "Don't worry, Jungwon, it's just a small wound; I can deal with it," Jake said. "Even if it's a small wound, you need to get it treated," Jungwon said.

"Jungwon, it's fine," Jake said. "No, Jake, listen to what I say; go to the hospital and get treated," Jungwon said. "Fine, I will," Jake said.

"Good boy," Jungwon said with happiness over the phone. Jake playfully rolls his eyes. "I'm not a dog, so stop treating me as one," Jake said.

"You look like one; I didn't say you act like one," Jungwon said, laughing. "Jungwon, don't make me take you back to the farm. Jay might have to find a way to get you back once I take you," Jake said.

"What makes you say that?" Jungwon said. "You remind me of a sheep," Jake said as he couldn't control the laugh that left his mouth.

"Haha, very funny," Jungwon said as he clicked the red button to hang up. Jake stops laughing, wondering why it was quiet, and holds his phone to his ear.

"Hello, Jungwon, "Are you there" Jake said. He looks at his phone and sees that Jungwon is no longer on the call. "Well, it looks like I have to apologize," Jake said with a sigh.

He hops back on his motorcycle and heads to the hospital, burying the pain coming from his side. Jake arrives at the hospital, walks inside, states his name at the front desk, and tells them what is bothering him. They told him to wait in the waiting area, so Jake did so.

The nurse called his name to be escorted to the room. Jake lays on the hospital bed, waiting for the doctor to come in. The doctor comes in, treats his wounds, and tells him he is all good to go.

Jake gets up from the hospital bed and realizes that he is thirsty. So Jake decides to go to the vending machine to get him a soda. Jake puts a one won in the vending machine to receive his soda.

Before Jake could bend down and get it, someone tapped him gently on the back. Jake turned around to see who did it, and it was a woman. She looked very pale and also had the look of being unhappy, depressed, and miserable.

"I'm sorry to bother you," the woman said, trying to give him a small smile. Jake shakes his head. "No, it's fine. Is there something you need" Jake said it with a smile.

"Can you do me a huge favor" the woman said. Jake nods, not really sure what the huge favor is about. "Um, you see, I want you to adopt my newborn child because I'm on the edge of dying from cancer," the woman said with a saddened voice.

Jake's eyes widened, but he also wanted to cry. This poor woman doesn't deserve to suffer.
