"I know there is a day all my pains will go away so then I smoke it away."
Mohbad Feel Good.It has been about three weeks since James'birthday. Christiana was occupied with work and she had recently updated her blog showing off her skin using the caption;
"My Skin, I'm so in love with my skin. Shout out to all Dark and Brown Skinned Men And Women out there. Show off your skin using the hashtag #blackpeoplearebeautiful and don't forget to tag Tiana's Blog."
It was well received but there were also comments like;
How won't you love your skin when you are using like 50k Skin care product?
And so many others.
James on the other hand was swarmed with work. The construction of his restaurant in Abuja was going on, Promoting of his hotel, checking on his investment in the resort, hotel and restaurant creation in Lagos too.
Infact all their friends were busy too, Aishat had been searching for work and she had finally found one so she was returning back to Lagos. Chidera's business was going well, she had recently arrived back from her trip to the US for restocking.
Matthew and Tamara had arrived from their honeymoon a week back. Christiana was on her way to visit her now.
"Hey b, should we still wait for you at the lounge?" Aishat asked over the call.
"Yeah, James and his friends will be there too." Christiana responded.
"Ohhh, alright see you later." They exchanged goodbyes before hanging up.
Christiana's phone went dead afterwards. There wasn't light last night and she couldn't find her powerbank so she couldn't charge. She arrived at Tamara and Matthew's house, it was a rented bungalow in an estate. Matthew was a real estate agent and Tamara worked as Food technologist.
"Money woman." Tamara said excitedly as she opened the door for her.
"I missed you." Christiana hugged her and Tamara smiled welcoming her in.
"Here." Christiana handed a gift basket which contained drink, milk, Milo and lots of others.
"Thank youuuu." Tamara collected carrying it to the kitchen. Christiana looked around the house, it had three bedrooms and was pretty wide painted in yellow. The sitting room had a flat screen TV with DSTV Decorder beneath.
"You guys don't have light too?" Christiana asked bringing out her cord from her white and black butterfly printed bag.
"No jare, you can use this power bank sha." She handed her the powerbank sitting next to her on the couch.
"Thank you." She plugged in her phone. " So tell me about the whole honeymoon, any kids soon?" Tiana asked making Tamara laugh.
"Children? No No. We sat and talked about family planning and all that. But the trip was fun and beautiful, we did a lot of things . To be honest I didn't even want to come back but you know money must be made." Tamara explained and Christiana nodded.
"You guys should go again during Christmas even if it's just Benin Republic beside us here." Christiana suggested seeing how radiant she looked talking about the trip.
"Yeah, yeah." She just said. "You didn't even talk about how you felt that your dad wasn't there."
"Christiana, to be honest I don't feel anything. I mean I was a little disappointed but it's okay. I even thought he will call or send money like he usually does but he didn't. To me it was like e yin na da. I will be fine." Tiana could tell it actually hurt her but she was trying to guide.
(E yin na da- That one is good.)
