Chapter 12 Drunken Realization

I was a bit worried habang nasa kotse dahil baka kung ano na ang gawin ni Neil habang nasa mansion.

I don't want this for Mom and Dad to know. Nakakahiya.

As I stepped out of the car, napatigil ako nang bahagya dahil sa hindi maunawaang itsura ng baliw na ito. Well in all fairness naman kahit disheveled ang buhok at may hawak pang isang bote ng vodka eh ang po- WHAT THE HECK HILL?!

"Reign. Finally you're here." He said in a slurry voice.

"Neil. You're not okay. Kung anuman ang gusto mong sabihin saken, wag nalang ngayon."

"NO! NO! NO! I want to do it right now!" nagulat ako nang sumagot siya nang medyo pasigaw.

"Neil. Please. Ayokong makarating ito kay Dad. You work is also at stake here for hea-"

"So you still care for me pa rin pala?" Nasabi nya habang naglalakad papalapit saken.

Wait. He has a point. After all these years of pain, why do I still care about his welfare? Dapat wala na ako doon.

"I just don't want my Mom and Dad to be disappointed with me." Seryosong sagot sa harapan niya na siyang ikinalaki nang kaunti ng mga mata niya.

And with that, dire-diretso na akong pumasok ng mansion para makapagpalit na ng damit.

Inutusan ko na rin ang mga maids na ipaghanda nalang ng hangover soup si Neil at pagpahingahin sa isang guest room.

I was just finish to change into my comfy clothes when my phone rang.

And its Tytyyyyy!!!

"Heeeyyyyyy! I miss youuu!" Sabi ko in my sweetest voice while seeing this handsome man in my phone.

"I miss you too Hill! How are you?" He replied with a smile. Parang nasa work pa siya.

"Well its a bit awkward and chaotic knowing that my ex is working in my parent's firm." Direktang pag amin ko kay Tyronne.

One thing that I've learned in relationships is that I shouldn't hide things from that special person, para maging matatag ang trust. And I'll simply apply this to Tyronne.

Ayokong naglilihim sa kanya. Kaya kahit medyo confidential in my part eh I have no choice but to tell him everything.

"But don't worry Tyty. I assure you that nothing's going on between me and him. Its just pure professional." Idinagdag ko pa since napansin ko ang pagbago ng emotions nya.

"Okay okay. Looking forward to see you soon Hill." Nakangiti niyang sinabi saken.

"Me too. I miss Aunt Helena and everyone there. If I could only get back there already."

"Soooooo siya na pala?"

Napatili ako sa narinig kong boses kaya nahulog sa sahig yung phone ko. And there he was, standing in my doorway.

"What the hell?! Do you know how to knock? And what are you even doing here?!" Galit na nasabi ko kay Neil na halatang nagulat din sa naging reaction ko.

OMG. Naka-on pa pala yung video call. Agad kong pinulot yung phone ko to check on Tyronne.

"Sorry Tyty for everything you have heard. Someone just barged in my room that made me shocked. I gotta go. I'll call you later."

Pagkapatay ko ng call ay lumapit pa siya saken though he's a bit sober na to explain. I guess?

"Look. I-I'm sorry. Okay? I-I-" he said in a bit sluggish way.

"You know what. I want you out here. I want you even out of my life!"

"I know you can't do that-" akmang hahawakan pa niya ako in my arms pero out of surprise ay nagawa ko siyang sampalin.

"Tulog ka pa ba?! Ayan. Sampal. Para magising ka sa katotohanan that I can do everything that I say, Neil. Di na ako katulad ng dati. Years have passed and marami na rin ang nagbago sa mga pananaw ko sa buhay. And to answer your question kanina, well F*CKING YES! SI TYRONNE NA ANG BAGONG NAKAKAPAGPATIBOK NG PUSO KO! Okay na?"

Wow. I-I myself didn't expect that to say. I guess masyado nakong naging harsh sa kanya. But well that's what they called as harsh truth. As for me, this signals my freedom from confusion, from train of thoughts.

"Woah. Wow. Sakit. Gra-grabe yung sampal na yun. You slapped me so hard, Reign, literally and figuratively. But you know what also, di pa rin ako magsasawa na suyuin ka hanggang sa mapatawad mo ako. I'll do also everything in my power para makuha kita uli." He said in a serious tone as he walked out at nakuha pang magdabog.

And with that, napaupo nalang ako sa kama at napaayos ng buhok. Goosshh masyado ng nakakastress ang araw na ito, with both Frances and Neil.

"Do you think its a bit harsh, Reign?" Tanong ni Monique while sipping her iced coffee.

Narito nga pala kami ngayon sa madalas naming tambayan during Maleville High days. Si Monique at Verna lang kasama ko since nasa bakasyon ngayon si Cristina este Christian pala at may pinuntahan namang kasal itong si Winston.

Naikwento ko na rin kase sa kanila yung nangyari and its been a week already. Napansin kong tumamlay ang pakikitungo saken ni Neil sa work and he didn't even said a word kapag may mga encounters kami.

"Sis, alam mo, gets naman namin yung point mo kaso parang sumobra ka lang nang slight." Direct to the point na sinabi ni Verna. Well take it from a lawyer. Talagang masasanay nalang din ako siguro na ganto na ang way niya ng pakikipag usap.

"Well, what should I do now? As for me naman kase, tama lang na I clear everything with him. Para talagang marealize nya though he's a bit wasted that time, na I'm serious and nothing will ever happen para maging kami uli."

Nagkatinginan naman itong dalawa as if they agreed to something. Hmmmm.

"But we guess, you should still talk to him and apologize." nasabi ni Monique with a bit uneasiness in her eyes.

"Hey. Don't be bothered, Mons. Okay lang saken. Thank you for the advice and bond though, girls." sagot ko naman with a slight smile plastered on my face.
