As the weeks went on and I began to recover, Jacob asked me to marry him. Of coarse I said yes.. I think he was actually nervous that I would say no. The preparations started and the orchard was being decorated little by little. I was taken into town along with my parents and the twins to get fitted for the wedding, Apparently Jacob had already let the store clerk know to have a selection of wedding gowns on hand for me to chose from, I fell in love with the 2nd dress that I saw. it was lace with Ivory buttons the veil reaching the ground and pooling at my feet. The alterations were made and then we took the dress home.....

The day of the wedding was here My mother was fixing my hair this time though there were no tears of sadness it was only joy that we felt. My father met me at the base of the stairs with a smile that I had not seen in many years. He reached out his hand and pulled me to him wrapping me in a hug. He whispered "you are beautiful and I am so proud of the woman that you have become... " I couldn't believe how different things were... As the back doors to the house were opened My eyes met Jacobs and I knew I was home, I was safe we were safe no one could hurt us anymore.

As I walked down the isle and made it to the alter I thought back to the first time a found this orchard and stole the very first apple......
