We talked for a while before he yelled and ran off. I've been sitting looking at the ceiling pondering the conversation. I feel my phone vibrating beside me. I look up and see its Alex. "Oh god" I mumble. I cringe and answer my phone
"hey"
"Y/n???"
"Yeah it's me"
"Look I'm sorry about what happened earlier."
"I understand" I say, my voice dripping with sarcasm.
"Come on y/n!!! I really am sorry. "
"Suuuuure. You cheated on my best friend and when I asked you, you said it wasn't a big deal!!! That it didn't matter anyway!!!"
"I can't do this right now"
"Then why did you call me" I'm getting frustrated. But I just couldn't shake the feeling that I'm missing part of the story.
"True." I hear him chuckle before he continues, "I did cheat on her. But that was a year ago. I'm different now. I decided to turn over a new leaf. I was gonna start by talking to the cute girl in math class that I've had a crush on since middle school. But apparently that was a mistake."
He hangs up but not before I can choke out his name in between my tears. I thought things were finally getting better but things have just gotten worse.
