Tessa shook her head with a smile. The store came into view, the red wood and gold lettering bringing a smile to Anne's face. When the store door opened, laughter sounded.
ZONKO'S JOKE SHOP. JOKES AND TRICKS. TOYS AND GAMES.
A smirk rose on Tessa's face. Priscilla was about to get what she deserved.
Zonko's Joke Shop
Anne's face was teaming with ideas and overfilling with mirth.. She rubbed her palms together like the villain in a children's story, "Where do we start?"
"Priscilla's in Slytherin, you know her better than I do. She asked me what my greatest fear was. Do you know hers?"
An evil smile formed. "I know just the thing."
Tessa followed Anne around who seemed familiar with everything in the store. She saw a few displays of tricks she was recognized. Dung-bombs that when they exploded made an entire room smell absolutely foul and everyone evacuated. That's what happened last year during the Potion's 6th year midterm exam. A dung-bomb exploded, the whole class evacuated and the test was pushed to the next day giving everyone the opportunity to study more. Everett was conveniently in that class with her. Next to that display were tea cups in enchanted boxes they weren't able to bite through.
She shivered, looking at Anne accusingly. "How could you let one of those bite him?"
"Ominis isn't so innocent himself." Anne replied defensively.
Tessa smirked, "You don't say."
A disgusted noise escaped the Sallow twin. "Not like that. Ominis made a potion that forced my hair to change colors with my mood. This was back as first years before I even knew I fancied witches. Do you know how confused I was every time I saw Poppy and my hair would turn red? She thought I was always angry at her."
"Ominis was the one that started the prank war? Is that how you two met?" Tessa inquired, looking at another bookcase that held hour glass containers with the words 'TEMPEST IN A BOTTLE.' It had a little depiction of weather. Some had lightening, others had a wave of water. It appeared there were different types of storms in the bottles.
Anne nodded, grabbing a nearby basket. "He was pouting because he couldn't fool Sebby and I into thinking there were mermaids in the lake, so he upped the ante. He's the reason Sebby hates Peeves." Seeing her curiosity, Anne smirked as she explained, "Whenever Sebastian would put a book down in the library, Peeves would swap it with an embarrassing title. 'How to Get Rid of Warts on Your Bum' or 'How to Live with a Small Pecker' -- Honestly that latter title isn't an authorized book at Hogwarts, Madam Scribner was enraged thinking he had brought it in. To this day, he still has a grudge against Ominis and Peeves about the whole ordeal. While Ominis stopped with the pranks in our ceasefire agreement, Peeves continues to antagonize Sebby."
Tessa laughed, shaking her head. "Maybe I am glad I didn't meet you guys earlier. I'd hate to watch my back around you three for pranks."
Anne grimaced, casting her a side glance. "That's assuming we would have liked you then. It's only recently you stopped assuming Omi was all about the Pureblood mentality. You associated him with his family just as everyone else does."
"You're not wrong." Guilt seeped from her voice. She really had been a hypocrite.
The other girl shrugged, "We all grow. I'm glad you're here now." She pointed over to a casing filled with what looked like soap bars, "Here we go. This is just the thing that'll get under her skin."
