Cold-Blooded
Tessa woke up in her dormitory with a content smile on her face. She had slept through breakfast and lunch, but they'd had a couple rounds exploring each other before cleaning, and leaving the Undercroft for some rest. The soreness she felt in multiple places around her body reminded her of how well Ominis treated her body and she could already feel herself looking forward to the next time. Again, her body was a traitorous wench that thrived under his touch.
She entered the Great Hall, her eyes immediately drifting towards the Slytherin table. Ominis was sitting next to Sebastian as Anne was telling them a story about trying a new candy in Honeydukes. When she walked in, Tessa saw his head raise slightly and a secretive smile formed only for her. In the next moment it was gone and she sat down at a seat near Lucan Brattleby.
"Tessa, I haven't seen you at Crossed Wands." He reflected after taking a bite out of a lamb chop.
She shrugged lightly, scooping a vegetable medley onto her plate. "It's been hectic. What with...everything going on."
He nodded seriously, pushing away a brown curl from his forehead. "Everyone's on edge. I wonder what's happening."
Tessa didn't know what to say and she was saved from having to say anything as the Deputy Headmistress rose from her seat. Everyone looked over curious since dinner wasn't even half over. Professor Weasley walked down the Great Hall until she stood in front of Tessa who looked at her curiously.
"Please stop by the Headmaster's Office. A package arrived for you." She said shortly before making her way down the rest of the Hall.
Lucan's eyebrows furrowed, his lip pursing. "What is that all about?"
"I'm not sure." Tessa murmured, suddenly losing her appetite.
The rest of dinner went on without a hitch. When she got up to start making her way towards the Headmaster's office, she saw as Ominis, Sebastian, and Anne all rose as well. Once they were out of ear shot from the Great Hall, Anne spoke up first.
"What was that about? What did Weasley want?" She inquired on the other side of Tessa.
She frowned, thankful that Ominis was beside her to keep the nerves down, but still treading anxiety. "I'm not sure. Why would the Headmaster want to see me?"
"Why wasn't he at dinner?" Sebastian wondered. Now that he mentioned it, the Hogwarts Professors ate with the students. It was a tradition even the conceited Headmaster partook in, it was rare for him not to be at dinner. "Who would send you a package to be delivered by the Headmaster? Your parents?"
Tessa shook her head quickly, "Not even remotely within the realm of possibilities." She looked towards Ominis, "Could it be from....?"
"They were bold enough to send you a cursed necklace in front of everyone at breakfast." His mouth was set in a thin line, a vein almost popping out of his neck from how pissed he was at the thought of his family interfering more. "If it's to be delivered by the Headmaster then it can't hurt or kill you. My father and the Headmaster are good friends, but even Black wouldn't risk tarnishing his reputation over a Muggle-born."
She scrunched her nose up, "Gee. Thanks for making me feel like a bug." Her voice was light; goodnatured almost, Ominis only looked more unamused.
"Do you think we'll be allowed in?" Anne held her wand up, "We could cast the Disillusionment Charm."
