Chapter 6

(*AAAnd now were back to where we left off! and trust me you all might get mad or upset for me for this.*)

As the two got closer to one another, they were mere inches away from each other's lips from having a tender and loving kiss, they gazed into each others eyes as both of their hearts were racing from the sheer tension and movements they were doing at this moment of time. As they were about an inch away from each others lips they heard something and they quickly moved away from each other and noticed it was Kamek and he looks at the two "o-oh, i'm sorry to bother you but, we have company just right outside of the castle my lord" Kamek stated and Bowser looked a bit confused but, he just nodded "alright Kamek i'm coming" Bowser stated as he follows Kamek out front leaving Kayla alone and shocked and all red from what just happened or what was gonna happen if Kamek didn't come to them...she gently touches her lips and her cheeks flush even more red and stayed silent as she was too stunned and shocked by all this that just happened. "I-I just...did...did I almost kiss him....? O-Oh...oh my gosh...." Kayla stuttered as her face turns fully bright red just by thinking of what almost happened between them but, she quickly shakes her head as she tries to calm down herself "oh come on Kayla....what in the heck is wrong with you...! Princess Peach and the others will probably help you out of here.....maybe...." Kayla said quietly as she looks down for a sec as she slowly headed back inside since she wanted to see who was outside in the front of Bowser's castle.

*Outside in front of Bowser's castle*

Kamek and Bowser and a couple of his guards walked towards the front door of the castle as they heard some commotion coming from outside as the guards opened the door Bowser was surprised to see Princess Peach and some of her guards as the two looked surprised and shocked to see her here "Princess Peach, this is a surprise to see you here" Bowser stated as Princess Peach crosses her arms* "don't be SO surprised since your the one that TOOK my best friend away from us!" Princess Peach stated out as loud as she could as he could tell Princess Peach was really mad and upset that this happened. Bowser just crosses his arms as he kept his cool...he knew if he blew up on her Kayla wouldn't want to stay around with him...not like she really had a choice...right...? Bowser looks over at Princess Peach as he take a deep breathe in and a big exhale out "Princess Peach, I can assure you, I haven't done anything wrong to Kayla or harmed her in anyway" Bowser said calmly as he looked at Princess Peach as she looked up at him and she notices Kayla walking just behind Bowser and she grows shocked "KAYLA!" Princess Peach shouted as she quickly runs over to Kayla and quickly pulls her into a hug "Princess Peach? What in the world are you doing here?" Kayla said in surprise as Princess Peach lets go and she looks at her "I came to see you, I just wanted to make sure you were okay and safe...cause you know how Bowser is" Princess Peach stated as Bowser just huffed out a bit of smoke but, Kayla just sighs a little and gives Princess Peach a soft smile to reassure her "He hasn't done anything to harm or hurt me Princess Peach. In fact, he's been treating me really nicely and kind since he brought me to his castle." Kayla said calmly as she looked up at the Princess and she looked at her kind of shocked and surprised that Bowser was being nice and kind to her.

"Well, if he's treating you well and your safe and sound....that's all that matters" Princess Peach said softly but, she slowly got close and she leans close to Kayla so they can talk but, only in a whisper like voice "Kayla, Please tell me you aren't really falling for him...right...?" Princess Peach whispered to her and then she noticed how Kayla moved back a little and her cheeks were turning a tiny bit shade of pink which made Princess Peach look at her in shock as she quickly dragged her far enough to talk to her alone. "Kayla, you...are you actually falling in love with Bowser....?" Princess Peach asked as Kayla looked at her and her cheeks turn more pink and she looks away quickly "w-what! no! of course not! I-I'm just glad he's nice to me and all that...!" Kayla said in an panicked like voice as she kept looking away from Princess Peach. Princess Peach looked at her still and then she just let's out a deep sigh as she just rubs her neck a tiny bit "Kayla you don't have to lie to me...I can tell by your face that you like him...its really not that hard to tell" Princess Peach said calmly as Kayla looks over at her slowly as she stayed silent within those few moments and then she let out a small sigh from her lips.

"So, Your not upset or mad that I....I might like him....?" Kayla said quietly as she rubs her arms a tiny bit while she looks at Princess Peach and then Princess Peach gently puts her hand on Kayla's shoulder "Kayla, I'm not upset or mad in any way...but, I'm just surprised that you...well...like him like...that" Princess Peach said calmly as she looked at Kayla which she sighed and she looked down at the ground "he probably doesn't like me back...I mean...I dont know..." Kayla said quietly as she rubbed her arms a tiny bit as Princess Peach looks at her and she looks back where Bowser was with the others and she looks back at Kayla as she sighs and she smiles a tiny bit "I'm sure he probably likes you Kayla...maybe you should ask him if he does or not...I mean it wouldn't hurt to try...?" Princess Peach said as Kayla looked over as she watches Boswer talk to Kamek about something and Kayla took a deep breathe in and let it out through her nose "I guess your right Princess Peach...maybe...maybe I should ask him...but, I might wait til it feels right to tell him...I don't want to come up too strong..." Kayla said calmly as she looked up at Princess Peach with a gentle smile on her face.

*A couple of hours later*

Princess Peach, her guards, and Toad finally left Bowser's castle which left Bowser and Kayla alone outside for a moment and Bowser headed inside his castle as Kayla followed behind as she thought about the conversation she had with Princess Peach...she know's she has to tell Bowser sooner or later about her feelings she was starting to feel for him now...but, she felt it wasn't the right time for it right now....not yet at least...Kayla walks into her room and she sits down on the bed and lets out a deep sigh "....i'll tell him when the time is right and when I'm comfortable to...but...I'll have to tell him soon..." Kayla thought to herself as she looked out her window as the stars shined within the night sky as the moon casted its soft glow down on the castle.
