The bride of Bowser

Chapter 3

Kayla soon got ready for dinner and then she sighs and she headed downstairs to eat dinner with...ugh, Bowser and she didn't want to do this at all but, she had to, I mean she has to keep her word so he doesn't hurt the Mushroom Kingdom. She soon got to the dining table and she see's Bowser sitting at the table...wearing a tux...? Well, this was new to see even for her "well that is something new...?" Kayla thought to herself as she walked over to the chair and she sits down and she looks over at him. "So, you look really nice today" Kayla simply said as she ate some of the food that his cookers made, it was actually really good surprisingly on what she seen Bowser ate before hand which she saw Bower smile a little at this compliment "why, thank you Kayla that really means a lot" Bowser stated as he took a few bites of his food as well.

She looked over at him since he was nice enough to let her eat and let her sleep in an nice bed...I guess "So, your gonna keep your word about not attacking the Mushroom Kingdom...right?" Kayla asked him as Bowser looks over at her "yes Kayla you have my word on it plus, I wasn't really going to attack it" Bowser stated and she just blinked for a moment "ha, sssure he wasn't..." she thought to herself as they both kept eating the food. After they finished eating the dinner she gets up and bows down a little at least trying to be nice and decent to him "Thank you for the nice dinner Bowser, it was really lovely" Kayla said as she looked up at him as he looked right at her "It was no trouble Kayla my dear" Bowser stated as he gently took her hand and plant a gentle kiss on top of it making her cheeks turn a little red from it and she just looked at him a little bit more "gosh...he does look nice in the suit...and his eyes look so...so..." Kayla was lost in thought and he waved her hand at her to snap her out of it "hey are you alright?" he asked Kayla and she soon pulled her hand away gently with a flustered look on her face.

"Y-Yes, I'm fine b-but, I should head to bed i-it's getting late. A-Again, thank you for the dinner!" Kayla said as she quickly went upstairs to the guest room which Bowser looked a bit shocked from her reaction and he rubbed his neck a bit confused from her reaction mostly "well, that was weird?" Bowser thought to himself as he headed to his room to rest up for the night as well. Kayla quickly walks into the room and then shuts the door and she rubs her face "oh god I was not just thinking all that! he literally is a monster Kayla! he isn't good looking or anything! he's a monster and nothing good at all!" she thought to herself as she walks over to her bed and then she sits down on the bed as she kept thinking of what she just thought when she was out there in the dining hall. 

*Meanwhile with Bowser*

Within his room, Bowser was sitting on his big bed as he was thinking about how Kayla looked in her dress tonight "she looked so lovely tonight..." Bowser thought to himself as he then sighed and he laid down in his bed and then he looks up at the ceiling still thinking about Kayla. "She was acting really strange tonight...wonder why she was acting like that...? Oh well, I'm sure it was nothing out of the sort" he thought to himself as he slowly drifted off to sleep within his bed.

*Meanwhile with Kayla*

Kayla finally just relaxed and she laid down on her bed and tries not to think about what happened tonight and then she sighs "I hope tomorrow isn't going to be weird as tonight...I hope" Kayla thought to herself as she looked up at the ceiling and she slowly closes her eyes "I just hope it doesn't..." she thought again as she drifted off to sleep.

*In the morning*

Kayla starts to wake up a little as she sits up from her bed and then stretches a little and then notices a small gift box on her bed which made her raise an eye brow a little and she slowly sat up and grabbed the small box. "What the heck is this...?" Kayla thought to herself and she looked at the tagged "For you" It read on the tag and then she slowly opened the small box and then her eyes grew wide at the site of the thing inside the box...it was her ring...her engagement ring that she threw off the balcony at the party. "Wha...how did he get this...?" Kayla simply said as she looked at the ring and she realized something...was he there and heard everything when she was on the balcony...? No, he couldn't have been there...but, it wouldn't make sense on how he got the ring and gave it back to her.  She felt too emotional at the moment and let tears slipped down her face as she held onto the ring close to her...and then she heard the door and quickly wiped the tears off her face and it was Kamek "Miss.Kayla, Bowser wants to-oh, are you alright?" Kamek asked as she looks over at him "y-yes, yes i'm okay but, this ring...did he...was he there at the party...?" Kayla asked and then Kamek sighed and then he nodded at her making her eyes grew wide. "Yes Miss, he was there and heard everything...he felt bad so he wanted to give your ring back to you since you took the place of marrying him but, he does feel bad for you...he really does" Kamek stated as he looked at her which made Kayla look at him a bit shocked and then she got up to go to talk to Bowser "thank you for telling me...and i'll go talk to him right now" Kayla said as she walked passed him and went to go see Bowser and talk to him.
