"Mahjabeen bhaag kyun rahi ho", Murtasim asked as she ran out of the car, he followed her closely and he expected that she might run to her father but she didn't stop even when she passed Waqas and reached her room.

Waqas shrugged used to this as he greeted Murtasim, they heard  her giggling. Murtasim exchanged a puzzled glance with Waqas, their curiosity piqued by Mahjabeen's laughter. They both decided to approach her room to see what was going on.

As they entered Mahjabeen's room, they found her sitting on the floor, surrounded by stacks of colorful books and art supplies. Her face was beaming with joy as she held a sketchbook in her hands, filled with vibrant drawings.

"Murtasim, Abbu!" Mahjabeen exclaimed, her laughter still echoing in the room. "Dekhye ye meri sketchbook hai, wahid aisa subject tha jisme mai pass hoti thi"

Murtasim and Waqas smiled, relieved that there was no emergency or distress. They joined Mahjabeen on the floor, examining her artwork. The pages of the sketchbook depicted beautiful landscapes, imaginative characters, and intricate details. It was evident that Mahjabeen had poured her heart and soul into her creations.

"Ye kaafi khoobsurat hai, Mahjabeen", Murtasim praised, genuinely impressed by her talent. "Sachme, tum behadd kabeel ho"

Waqas nodded in agreement. "Meri beti toh hai hi kaabiley taareef."

"Aapko konsi waali acchi lagi?" Mahjabeen asked flipping through her sketchbook, Murtasim pointed at her self portrait.

"Saari acchi hai magar, ye waali sketch ki baat hi alag hai. Is  ladki ko jaanti ho kya tum? " Murtasim teased making her frown, she placed the sketch beside her face and glared at him playfully.

"Ji haan, har subha mulakat hoti hai isse meri", she replied giving him an incredulous look but Murtasim continued playing dumb.

"Meri mulakat karado phir isse", at this Mahjabeen's anger flared and she rolled the sketch book hitting him lightly with it as she broke his bubble.

"Apni biwi ko nahi pehchaan paye, Bawle", Mahjabeen said with an angry look, Murtasim started laughing and that annoyed her even more.

"Mahjabeen... Beta apne shohar ko Bawla nahi bulatey", her father interrupted softly patting Mahjabeen's head as she stood up and collected all her books from the floor not in the mood  to talk. She was angry because he easily got interested in another woman, not realising he was teasing her.

She left him on the floor and before walking out of the room she expressed her anger by stamping her foot. He didn't indulge in any conversation with her amused by her childish antics.

"Beta Mahjabeen ki baaton ko dil par mat lena, thodi bachkaani hai woh", Waqas tried to explain, a little embarrassed. Murtasim shook his head with a smile, Mahjabeen's anger was endearing for him.

"Ammi uss din mai aayi thi tab apne darwaza kyun nahi khola tha?" Mahjabeen asked she was sitting on the kitchen slab, as Anila prepared tea for the guests.

"Beta, tum akele toh nahi aayi thi. Murtasim lekar aaya tha na tumhe", Her mother asked softly, she had seen her leaving in Murtasim's car that had calmed her restless heart. That day Maa Begum had ordered them not to open the door, it wasn't easy for them a punishment to their own self as they watched her fall asleep outside their house.

"Nahi mai Rohail ke saath aayi thi", Mahjabeen replied a little upset when she remembered how he had rejected her. The humiliation and pain was still fresh, she wanted revenge badly.

"Kya? Tumhara dimaag toh kharab nahi hai!?" Anila asked in shock, she peeked through the curtain and sighed in relief when she saw Murtasim peacefully talking to Waqas.

"Nahi Ammi, dimaag toh ab uska kharab karungi, woh samajhta kya hai. Mujhe paanchvi fail bulaya tha",  Mahjabeen spat out as she jumped from the slab angrily and took her dupatta with determination in her eyes.

She knew what she had to do, Rohail needed a reality check and Mahjabeen was determined to make him regret underestimating her.

The first time they met was at a wedding but the second time they met was at an Art Exhibition. Rohail loved sketches, painting and was a fan of one artist. The name of the artist was MJ, her pen name which she had accidentally created. MJ was known throughout the town for their unique paintings sketches and when Rohail had shown his interest in her art, Mahjabeen had gifted him her sketch. Rohail had no idea, that Mahjabeen was infact the world famous artist MJ.

She went out, with a scary smile on her face and approached Murtasim.

"Maine suna hai sheher mai ek Art Mela khula hai", Mahjabeen started and took his hand in hers, Waqas excused himself as Mahjabeen sat beside Murtasim and continued, " Hum waha chaley kya "

He observed the excitement in her voice and agreed not realising the reason for it.

After the evening tea they both made their way to the Art Mela, where various artists had displayed their works. Mahjabeen wanted to make sure Rohail saw her paintings before she revealed her identity.

As they walked through the exhibits, Mahjabeen's artwork attracted a lot of attention. People were amazed by the intricate details and emotions captured in her sketches and paintings. She had a unique style that stood out among the rest.

Eventually, they reached Rohail's favorite artist's section. Mahjabeen's heart raced as she saw him engrossed in a conversation with another artist. She decided to wait for the right moment to approach him.

Finally, the opportunity arose when the other artists left. Mahjabeen walked up to Rohail, her face covered with a scarf to maintain her anonymity.

"Excuse me," she said in a polite tone.

Rohail turned towards her, a little surprised. "Mahjabeen?"

Mahjabeen handed him a sketch. "Maine suna hai aapko MJ ke sketches behadd pasand hai, ye lijiye ek chota sa tohfa meri taraf se"

Rohail looked at the sketch, his eyes widening in recognition. He had seen this style before, but he couldn't believe that MJ was standing right in front of him.

"Mahjabeen tum.. Aap MJ ho?" he asked, his voice filled with disbelief.

Mahjabeen slowly removed her scarf, revealing her face. "Jhatka laga na bacchu haan hum ek hi hai"

Rohail stood there speechless, realizing the mistake he had made. He had unknowingly rejected the person whose art he admired the most.

Mahjabeen continued, her voice filled with determination. "Tumne mujhe panchhi fail bulaya tha, kaha tha meri koi pehchaan nahi hai. Tumhe kya pata tha ki Mahjabeen Murtasim Khan aur MJ tumhari favourite artist ek hi insaan hai"

With those words, Mahjabeen took a proud looking Murtasim's hand, leaving Rohail stunned and regretful. She had achieved her revenge, but deep down, she knew that her true victory was in showcasing her talent and proving her worth.

Murtasim was looking at her with a different level of respect in his eyes, his wife wasn't just incredibly talented and bold but also had the strength and determination to stand up for herself. He admired Mahjabeen's courage and artistic prowess even more in that moment.

"MJ ma'am, aap mujhe hairan karne se baaz nahi aati"
