Murtasim was discharged by the hospital, the three women didn't leave his side for a moment. When Maryam saw him being so close to his death, she realised that she had never tried to understand her own brother, never made the same efforts like she did with Haya. Her guilt was killing her, she had abandoned him a long time ago and seeing him in such a state she realised how much he meant to her. Her brother had supported her despite the fact the person she loved was his rival, he had never forced her to return and yesterday her and Mahjabeen's safety were the most important things in his mind.
She felt guilty and regretful for not having the ability to stand by his side to protect him. Now that he was in a better condition , Maryam wanted to come back to her family. Even if they all were imperfect, Maa Begum, Murtasim and Mahjabeen were her actual family, the only ones who truly cared about her.
She couldn't bear the weight of her guilt any longer. With a heavy heart, Maryam made a solemn promise to herself that she would mend the broken bond with her mother, Maa Begum, and embrace the love and support of her family.
Gathering her courage, Maryam approached Maa Begum, who had been a pillar of strength all her life, she was her mother. Tears welled up in her eyes as she spoke, her voice quivering with a mix of remorse and determination.
"Maa aaj bhai ko dekh kar mujhe andaaza hua aapki takleef ka. Mai choti thi jab Abbu ka inteqaal hua aur aapke jazbaaton se mehrum thi, aapne akele mujhe aur bhai ko itna kabil banaya. Maa mujhe yaha wapas aana hai, aapke liye aur bhai ke liye kuch karna hai. Kya aap mujhe wapas qubool karengi?" Maryam pleaded, her voice filled with an earnest longing for forgiveness and reconciliation.
Maa Begum, touched by Maryam's heartfelt confession, looked into her eyes, her own brimming with a mixture of emotions. She reached out and gently cupped Maryam's face, her touch warm and forgiving.
"Beta, mai humesha muntazir thi issi lamhe ki, Mai tumhe maaf karti hu Maryam. Abhi der nahi hui hai, sab pehle jaisa hojayega. Tum humesha se meri beti thi, aur is khaandan ka hissa bhi," Maa Begum whispered, her voice filled with love and acceptance.
Maryam's heart swelled with relief and gratitude as she embraced Maa Begum tightly, tears of joy streaming down her face. In that moment, she knew that she had made the right decision, and that her journey toward healing and redemption had just begun.
On the other side Mahjabeen was called by her school, her attendance was extremely low so she was called by the principal. The truth was Mahjabeen had forgotten about her school completely the past few days, her suspension had gotten over a week ago but she didn't went back. Now in this emotional state of hers and the house she wanted to quit. But she knew if Murtasim and Maryam found out they wouldn't spare her.
So she went to the office and told them about her husband's accident, the principal accepted the reason and gave her all the exam schedules. Her exams were from next week, she felt overwhelmed and exhausted. Her mind wasn't in the state to study but she sighed and accepted it. She wanted to do this for Murtasim, not for herself, she would not let him down.
With a renewed spirit she came back to haveli, to study hard and make her family proud. As Mahjabeen returned to the haveli, she found Murtasim sitting in the courtyard, his eyes filled with concern. He had been worried about her absence and knew that she had gone to meet the school authorities. Mahjabeen approached him slowly, her heart heavy with the weight of everything they had been through.
"Murtasim, aapse baat karni thi" she said softly, her voice trembling slightly.
Murtasim looked up, his eyes searching hers for answers. He could sense the turmoil within her and knew that something was troubling her deeply.
