The walimah was in full force, this time the arrangements were made by Murtasim- the crowd was different. The party was divided into two family and friends who all enjoyed inside the house, while the far off relatives were outside in the wedding hall.

Maryam's friends from college and Hyderabad were invited, she was incredibly happy because of this surprise.

Songs were played in the speakers as the girls danced on the stage, one by one all of them entered the stage and at last it was full.

"Mahjabeen tum nahi jaarahi?" Murtasim asked her, she shook her head still upset. To his bad luck she held the grudge till now giving him the cold shoulder.

"Juice, bhaiyya juice dedo", she called the servant who gave her the entire tray. She would have thanked her husband for adding kaala khatta if she wasn't angry at him.

"Mai naraz kis baat par thi?" she wondered herself, contemplating her unusual behavior. Mahjabeen knew she wasn't the type to get angry easily or hold grudges. Was she being overly dramatic? Nevertheless, she secretly enjoyed the attention her husband showered upon her, as he followed her around, completely indifferent to the curious eyes of others. He was a handsome man, the most influential figure in the village, and many had crushes on him and dreamed of him.

Deciding to cut him some slack, Mahjabeen subtly leaned into him, making it appear unintentional. She felt the tension leave his body as he wrapped his arms around her from behind, drawing her closer.

His arms gently rested on her arms, and he placed his chin on her shoulder. "Maho," he whispered softly in her ear.

"Hmmm," she hummed contentedly, reveling in his embrace and the enchanting melody of her favorite song.

Ooo, tere bina mein, mere bina tu

Jee nah saken gay sanam,
Kar le jo duniya sitam

Tere bina mein, mere bina tu

Jee nah saken gay sanam,
Kar le jo duniya sitam

jase hain sath hum,

ghanak ke woh sath hum
jase hain sath hum,
ghanak ke woh sath hum

Is pal ki kiya baat ho

Jis pal mein tera sath ho

"Narazgi khatam?" He asked softly, and there it was. She was reminded again, she was angry at him.

She turned her head towards him, looking at those love filled gaze. "Nahi, bas thak gayi hu", she said now leaning her head on his keeping her anger aside, she enjoyed the embrace.

"Itne jaldi? Jungle nahi jaana kya raat ko?" He teased with a mischievous smile, she shook her head, "Mujhe kahi nahi jaana", she replied softly.

"Dance karogi?" He offered as they watched Naurez and Maryam being dragged onto the stage. They were dancing like a cute couple, this time her husband didn't mind. She shook her head, "Yahi rehte haina".

She wanted nothing more than to cherish this moment with her husband, enveloped in his arms, surrounded by the laughter and happiness of their loved ones.

Their love was evident in the sweet gestures, in the way they communicated without words, and in the unbreakable bond that made this celebration of togetherness even more beautiful.

The walimah ended and the time of rukhsati arrived. Maa Begum couldn't help but cry as she hugged her daughter, apologizing profusely. She requested Naurez to take care of her, " Maryam apne ghar jaarahi hai", he replied making her smile admist the tears. She hugged her brother and at last her bhabhi.
