"The day....the music..died.. So bye-bye, Miss American Pie, Drove my Chevy to the levee But the levee was dry" i hummed singing underneath my breath while preparing rose's lunch for school

Rose then already came downstairs all dressed up with her backpack on sitting at the nook
I went to her Putting her lunch on her backpack "mommy?" She mumbled "yes sweetie?"
"Is auntie y/n back?" She glared back at me looking worried making me stop on what I'm doing
"Uhm.. uh.. no.. she's still trying to get better" i cleared my throat forcing a smile
"No she's not..." She looked down
"She.. resplaced us" she added still on the same expression grabbing her ipad "look.." she sighs opening some sort of an article with paparazzi pictures of y/n walking on a park with a woman and a little girl.
I'm shaking all my thoughts off not wanting to overthink these pictures.. i mean i know y/n... she's not just gonna replace us.."she looks happy with her new family" rose scoffed removing the. Article grumpily
"No..uhm.. I'm pretty sure that's not what you think it is..."
"Yes it is mommy...open your eyes.. she's not even answering my facetime" she got off the chair
I watched as she walked away witt her brows frown holding her ipad really tight clenching her jaw.
I know y/n deserves to be happy too.. but i also think de deserves to be happy WITH ME. I wasted my chance before and i won't take any paparazzi pictures to stop me now.
" A plane ticket to sweden it is " i nodded to myself
" Mommyy, I'm gonna be lateeee" rose called out snapping me out of my moment.
I drove her to school and the whole ride she's just playing.. as soon as we Arrived she immediately went inside her classroom running excitedly greeting her classmates "Careful!" i sighs
"Aren't they adorable?" Someone suddenly says... I looked up seeing this man that i haven't seen before around this school
"Hmm.. yeah even if they don't listen that much at this age" i respond chuckling both of us watching the kids greet each

"Uhmm...is your kid new here? I haven't saw you before" i raised it
"Actually... I'm the new teacher" he suddenly says making me conscious for some reason "oh my god, I'm so sorry" i shaked my head embarrassed
"It's ok...matteo... But i prefer being called matt... Teacher matt" he smiled reaching his hand
"Scarlett.. rose's mom" i smiled back also shaking his hand
"Mom?? I thought you were her sister" he playfully says making me chuckle while i looked down trying to hide my face
He suddenly stopped and as i looked up to him he's just staring at my face "you're beautiful" he says sincerely
"Uhm... If you don't mind me asking..are you single?" He asks sounding hesitant
"I.. am" i huffed
Now all i can think of is y/n breaking up with me... Great
"Can i..take you out.. for lunch tomorrow? Please don't feel pressured to say yes.. it's ok to say no...i just yknow... Oh god.. uhm.. sorry I'm speechless" he shaked his head his cheeks glowing red
"Teacher?? Can you find me the book about yesterday's topic??" Rose suddenly interrupted pulling him away
I just looked away staring at the trees "MOMMY" rose popped up in front of me making me flinch
"I told you to stop showing up like that!" I complained
"What was that?" She raised her brows
"What was what?" I innocently asks
"Teacher and you??" She frowned
"He's just being friendly" i defended while she pouted crossing her arms going back to her seat
The day goes on and i just swing by at the outset office to film some new videos for the new products we just launched.
"Have you seen the paparazzi pictures?" Kate suddenly asks getting my attention while I'm watching some tiktok videos.
"What pictures?" I played dumb
"Oh Scarlett" she sighs staring at me waiting for my reaction
"Who cares if she's holding someone's hand while laughing as if she's the happiest she's been without me?" I acted....OF COURSE I CARE
HOW DARE HER LAUGH WITH SOMEONE ELSE??? i mean yeah i ruined everything but yknow...
"Your expression says the opposite.. you honestly look like you already booked a plane ticket to get her back" she chuckles making me pout...i just did few hours ago
"What do you mean get her back? We were never together...y'all heard what she said on that interview"
"we also saw on that interview how you look devastated and the regret on y/n's face.."
"regret? She didn't even stutter" i mumbled continuing on scrolling
"you never watched the interview huh? " She sighs getting her phone searching it.
She goes closer to me both of us watching...i looked like the world dropped on me.. while y/n stares at my face swallowing thickly before looking down with a heavy breath..
"Look at the disappointment on her eyes" kate pointed it out
"people on the internet say it hurts even more because that disappointment might be for herself...then There's you who's going through lots of emotions" she explained but I'm still staring at y/n watching her hide her shaking hands..
"You know one thing i stand for?" She asks smiling making me stare at her in the eyes
"What..?"
"That you actually loved her.. there's a rumor that says you used her but look at you getting all hurt... that's not fake..you can't be in that much pain if you don't have feelings.."
" What if i misunderstood my feelings? " I interfere finally opening up to someone else beside y/n
"what if i was stock with fake on cam love that when i had it genuine.. i thought it was nothing? "
"you just have to tell her....she deserves to know..."
"i don't wanna ruin her new thing with that.... slightly better looking girl... Slightly... she's just tall yknow " i looked away earning her chuckles
My phone suddenly lit up and it was rose's teacher asking about our lunch" besides...i think it's better to leave her alone...yknow... Get what she deserves" i shrugged replying to the text
"What if you're the one she deserves?"
"Oh... Trust me.. I've hurt her more than anyone could imagine...she deserves someone better"

"I don't know...maybe I'll just follow my heart" i smiled while texting... Canceling lunch...
