Monty x Moon - The Unknown Duo

The 1st greeting

Montgomery was excited to escape his designated room. It was the first time in quite a while he was able to at this hour. It was around 11pm at night, the neon lights being the only thing lighting up the rooms of the pizzeria. It was Christmas Eve, so the place wouldn't be open to any guests tomorrow. This was the one time of year where everyone could do whatever their hearts desired and couldn't get in trouble as long as it didn't put anyone (or anything) in harm. He didn't want to talk to the other glamrocks though. He had plenty of time in the year to chat with them anyways. What he wanted to do was explore further into the place. Further into the storage rooms, or perhaps the daycare. As usual, both Sundrop and his brother weren't out and about with the rest of them. If you have been in the place long enough, it is easy to figure out what Sun is doing. Cleaning the daycare for the kids, Playing in the ballpit, or maybe even repairing some of the art materials that the children would accidentally snap in half somehow. But then there was Moondrop. He escapes the daycare a lot more than Sun, due to him being a night guard as well, but it is nearly impossible to tell when he was out. That's why Monty was surprised to have the Moon appear right in front of him when he was looking into boxes in the storage room.

 "This place is off limits..." Moon told the gator as he slowly stood up from his crouched position. His voice was low and raspy, and was scary enough to make the big animatronic take a step back with surprise. His red eyes didn't help either, but Monty still tried to keep his cool.

  "Its Christmas Eve," Montgomery replied with confidence, "You should know most of the rules don't apply now."

  Moondrop tilted his his head with confusion, "Christmas... Eve?" 

  The alligator sighed with disbelief as he stared into the moons red eyes, "Do you not know anything about Christmas?"

 "No," he replied with a shake of his head, "...But I hear a lot about it from the children."

 "The children know N O T H I N G about Christmas." Monty told him with a laugh, "They are just excited for the presents that come with the holiday!" 

 "Well one of them told me earlier today that it was all about friends and family... Is that true at least?"

 The rockstar hesitated before saying, "Well, I guess they are smarter than I thought." 

  They both laughed for a bit, losing track of time as they continued to speak about the upcoming holiday. By the time they went silent one of the many old grandfather clocks that the place had for some reason struck twelve. 

 "Well, I better leave now," Moon told the glamrock as he walked past him, "I can't have my brother worrying too much about me." 

 Monty nodded in agreement as he walked with the daycare attendant. He wanted to know more about him, and his battery was getting low giving him an excuse to follow. "I have to charge a bit more, can I at least follow you on the way?" 

"What? Are you scared of being alone or something?" Moon joked with an evil sounding chuckle.

"NO!" The gator exclaimed as he felt his face begin to overheat, "I just like to talk, that's all!"

"Riiiight.."

 They both managed to walk out from the storage room. Moon did so by hopping over the towers of boxes that stood in their way as Monty was forced to take the long way around. He was surprised by how high this attendant could jump. 

"You must do this a lot, huh?" He asked him.

"Well, I kind of have too with having two jobs," Moon replied, "Besides, its only fair I can do something unique for the kids that isn't what they see from the famous Sun."

  "Fair enough. So why are your eyes red? Don't kids find that creepy?" The gator wondered aloud.

 "They only turn red while I'm on the lookout," he explained, "Helps with scaring intruders. I would be decommissioned if any of the children saw me like this."

 "I see..." Monty proceeded to run for the charging station he saw ahead, "Well, it was nice meeting you!"

 "It was... nice meeting you too." The moon animatronic waved before turning away from his new friend. 

 They didn't know it yet, but this moment would change both of their lives.
