Falling too much

Thirteen

A couple hours had passed and Beth was sleeping on Leah's chest whilst me and Leah watched the good dinosaur. I know that movie is for younger children but it always gave me a comfort a sense close to home. It reminded me of when me and my mam would get home from being out and we would watch a movie- mostly the good dinosaur as it was my favourite movie. It slowly approached 6pm and the movie finished 10 minutes ago, I stand up and walk into the kitchen I make tomato and basil pasta, I walk back through with 2 bowls of pasta one for Leah and one for Beth. Beth woke up so I handed them both a bowl and sat next to them. Leah said "where's your then" I say "not hungry"
We watch modern family, I head up to mine and Leah's room and call alessia.
"Pick up pick up"
Alessia answers her phone and says "what's up is everything okay"
"Everything's fine, dads coming down tomorrow and I'm going to Chelsea tomorrow"
"2 major things then where's dad staying"
"At Leah's in the spare room, Beth's also staying with us as Viv cheated on her"
"Oh my is beth alright"
"Yeah she's fine just heartbroken that's all, and Viv might have a broken nose now"
"Don't tell me it was-"
"It was me"
"Alesha what have i told you"
"I know and I know I shouldn't have done it"
"Well you need to apologise to her, because you don't want to be injured or suspended if anyone finds out"
"I will"
"What else is up I can tell your not yourself"
"Nothing"
"Have you ate recently"
"I last ate at breakfast I'm not hungry"
"Don't fall into the trap again Alesha you don't want to be like how you used to be, I know you don't we watched you in pain struggling and suffering everyday"
"I'll try eat I just feel like throwing up when I see it, it's uneasy it makes me feel uncomfortable"
"I know, how about you stay on the phone to me and you eat something see if you can"
"Okay I'll go to the kitchen now"
I walk downstairs with alessia on the phone still, I walk through the living room and into the kitchen. I leave the door open and Leah looks at me I give her a smile. I whisper "I don't think I can do this less"
"Yes you can what have you got in"
"Umm nothing I want it's all sickening me"
"Put Leah on the phone"
"Less no she can't know" I shout slightly
Leah looks through and walks in without me noticing, I say with my back turned to Leah "alessia she can't know okay, it's difficult to talk about with you let alone her"
"She needs to know Alesha"
"I know she does could you tell her"
"Of course like I said in the first place. Put her on"
I hand Leah the phone and say "less needs you"
I run past her upstairs and lay on my bed.

Leah's POV
When I heard Alesha on the phone to Alessia I knew something was up when she was saying she didn't want me to know. I didn't know what it was, my head was filling full of ideas but I blocked them out. Beth was talking to me but I wasn't listening. Without thinking I walk into the kitchen her back turned to me I listen as closely as possible, she then turns around and says "less needs you" she hands me her phone I take it and she runs upstairs.
"Hello?"
"Hello Leah you okay"
"Yeah you"
"I am however Alesha is not"
"Why what's up? I knew something wasn't right after me and her talked about Viv"
"She isn't eating Leah, she used to be like this but she is falling back in the trap slowly"
"What- what do you mean?"
"When she turned 14 she got bullied in school not many people know apart from me, Ella and Bukayo Saka they were best friends in school even though he was in the year below. She got bullied bad she ended up changing things about herself, she started not eating to lose weight, she didn't need to. She dyed her hair to fit in and even changed her attitude, she wanted to fit in, she didn't like not being able to sit with the popular people or get laughed at for sitting with saka. Worse things happen that she hasn't even told me so I don't know what they were, she went into a really dark phase. Lasted about 6-7 months. For weeks on end she didn't get out of bed, missed football training, didn't eat anything. Blocked herself from everything we knew she heard us but she didn't speak to us. Not until everything changed when she got a call up from the U16 lionesses but dad stopped her from going said it would be too damaging for her mental health. It probably made it worse she wanted to go. She decided to go back to football she hadn't attended football in 4 months, I remember mam crying. It was draining for her and our family, we knew she couldn't help it but we wanted to we felt useless."
"I didn't know I'm so so sorry"
"When she turned 15 she still hadn't eaten a full meal always left something on her plate but she was improving. It broke my heart every time I saw her getting skinnier and skinnier, I worry about her endlessly. When she left for Barcelona we were all terrified us except dad,he said she needed to be independent. I flew out to Barcelona one day as a surprise and she was tiny, her rib cage on show and her spine was very clear, clearer than usual. She hadn't eaten much in months an apple a day at most. She's the worst I had seen her, Geyse had no idea how to help her. Then they broke up and she was worse so she moved in with Lucy and Keira and started improving. Please Leah all I ask is you make sure she doesn't get like that again"
"I'm so so sorry i didn't know at all anything of this, I'll try Alessia"
"Okay I know it will be hard but please make sure she eats"
"I will bye"
"Bye leah"
Alessia hung up, I stood in the same spot for another couple of minutes processing what she had just told me. I decided to talk to Alesha, I went upstairs and saw her laid in bed with the duvet over her head I heard crying and laid next to her, I wrapped my arm over her stomach and said "hey look at me"
She just shook her head I say "please look at me Alesha"
She shook her head again so I speak "I don't care about any of this, this is a part of you it doesn't define you, it doesn't tell me what's inside your heart, inside your heart is you and if this is a part of you I'll take that part with me, I'll accept it I'll help you. Please just eat you need to have something"
She didn't reply, I lift the duvet off her head and she tears rolling down her face. She turns and looks at me I wipe her tears with my thumb and say "I love you and I will never leave you no matter what"
She looks up and I give her a smile she looks back down and moves her head closer to my stomach. She rests her head on top I play with her hair and she continues sobbing. "Does you dad know" I ask considering he was coming to stay with us.
She shakes her head, I needed to make sure he knew he might be able to help her.
