"We need a lead singer, Mike!"

"Yeah, what's a band without lyrics?"

  "You said it yourself, Mike!"

It was lunch time, but Mike wasn't eating - neither were his friends. They were walking around the school track, chatting about music (of course). These were the friends he sat with in music, his best and only friends.

First of all there was Richard, drummer of the band that his friends and him were all in. He was tall, but not as tall as Mike. That was something about Mike that everybody noticed almost immediately upon meeting him, he was extremely tall. Rich had black shoulder-length hair that curled weirdly at the ends. It made him look stupid, but Mike couldn't talk - his hair was fucking electric blue. Strangely, Richard had grey eyes. They made him look so different than everybody else at St. Patrick's Boys and Girls Secondary School. Richard was Mike's best friend since the start of secondary school. Mike didn't know what it was, but somehow they just clicked. Thinking back on it now, Mike didn't know how - they were nothing alike besides the fact that they both loved 80s music, especially Wham!

Second to Richard was Rose, the baddest bitch ever. She was Rich's twin and they looked almost identical. Same hair, eyes (except she was blind in her left eye), shoe size.. almost everything. She was basically the female version of her twin, which she hated. Desperately, she just wanted to be him. To be liked and looked up to. Being his twin, she was always looked down on and was only known as "Rich's twin". Nobody knew her name, only her band members did. In the band she played the bass guitar and wrote some of the lyrics of their original songs which there wasn't much of. Hopefully when they get a lead singer, they'll start writing more songs. Rose couldn't deal with listening to Mike sing anymore.

Lastly, there was Jesse who played the occasional violin and electric guitar which he was wicked at. He was the second main guitarist, Mike being the lead guitarist. Jesse was the definition of an indie-rockstar. He had spikey brown hair that was covered in gel hair to keep it standing up. His eyes were blood red due to his long distant eye contacts which made him look like a scary ass vampire. Seriously though, he had potential to become famous. He could basically have any career he dreamed of because he was good at everything. He was ridiculously smart, charming, like-able. He was everything Mike wanted to be. Mike couldn't help but be jealous.. Jesse was living Mike's dream life.

"But why William Noel's?" Mike asked the three, pissed off that everybody for some reason liked him.

He didn't even have a reason to dislike Will. It was just the fact that everybody else liked him, that made Mike despise him. Also, he was popular and probably thought he was better than everybody else. Nobody else saw this but Mike and a few others who were seen as 'outcasts'.

"Did you hear him singing at karaoke night?" Jesse asked him, nudging Mike as he smirked. "He may of been drunk.. but lord - he had a voice of an angel."

"You must of been pretty high off your head as well then, J." Mike muttered under his breath before clearing his throat. "So, you're saying-"

"We're saying that we should give popular Noel's a chance~" Rose and Richard sang in unison, smiling at one another.

"I want to hear him sing sober first." Mike told them, standing still for a moment looking at each of them in the eyes. "Sober.. S-O-B-E-R."

"Yes, we can spell-" Rose started, rolling her eyes as she pushed past Mike.

"I can't!!" Richard whispered as if it was a huge secret.

"Okay, dyslexia head, get another character trait." Rose muttered, turning around just to kick her twin.
