Will didn't leave Mike's house the next day nor did he go to school on Monday. Tuesday didn't see him going in either, but he did enter the school building on Wednesday for his last day of school before the Christmas holidays.

Going back home was out of the question in Will's stubborn opinion. He couldn't face going back home to see the smirk on his father's face and to hear him say "I knew you wouldn't last even a week without us.". No, Will told himself, he was going to be strong and live elsewhere than the place he once called home. Well, he never referred to it as home. It was just a place he lived that had all of his belongings, but now it had only his broken love for rock music there.

Staying at Mike's house felt so surreal. It was as if he entered a different version of his room as he woke up in Mike's bed each morning. Posters that they had probably bought from the same shops hung on the walls of Mike's room. When Will first entered his bedroom back in October, the room was tidy, but now it was a beautiful mess. Notebooks were all over the floor with paper overflowing out of them. Lyrics Will or him had written hung up on the wall or on the floor in a scattered mess. Will didn't mind it though, the room was amazing in Will's opinion - it was everything Will's parents would hate.

He basically lived in the house now, meaning he finally got to meet Mike's sister - Maria. She looked almost identical to Mike, besides the fact that she was a girl and a lot smaller. They both had the same green eyes (yes, Mike had green eyes when he took his eye contacts out - Will only learnt this a few nights ago!) that lit up whenever they were extremely happy about something. They both shared the same smile that grew bigger and bigger as they laughed. Will couldn't help but grin when he saw the two sitting on the couch one night beside each other while watching reruns of "Friends". It made Will's stomach do a backflip. They both just looked so happy.

Will also realized something - Mike's parents were never home. He didn't notice it at first, but when Will had explored all of the house, he found out that they had no bedroom. The parents didn't even live with them. There were no pictures of them on the walls. No sign that they had even stepped into the house. No indication that they even existed. Will would of asked Mike - he really wanted to ask, but he didn't want to be seen as nosy or cross any boundaries. He had only just found out about Mike's dead Italian lover, and that was enough deep secrets for the moment. Will wondered how he even got to Italy without his parents. How did he even find the money?

His questions were left unanswered as he entered the school building on Wednesday morning with Mike by his side. Luckily, they could wear their own clothes as it was the last day of school due to the Christmas Holidays that excitedly awaited them. Will couldn't wait for Christmas, it was his favourite season. It was when he got to see all of his extended family who didn't know a thing about him or his parents harsh relationship, he could act like somebody he was not. Unfortunately, this Christmas was most likely going to be a lot different either for the better or the worse.

"What do you have first?" Will asked Mike, standing beside him as he took some books out of his locker which he would most likely not use.

"Maths." he groaned, throwing a book into his bag. "He's going to make me do work, Will - work on the last day of school. Where's his Christmas spirit?"

"Ha, you have Mr. Gover, don't you?" Will remembered, laughing as he watched Mike slam his locker shut.

"Don't even say his name.." Mike told him, sighing as he put his bag onto his back. "Where's your bag?"

"Left it at your house." Will replied, shrugging as they continued to walk through the halls of the school.

  "Uh, why?" Mike asked, confused.
