***A'N*** When I'm back I'm back lmaooo. Enjoy! xx
----------------------------
"Where's Mumma?"
"Mumma's sleepin' long,"
"I wan' Mum'u ta make bekkfest,"
I put a stack of pancakes on the table and three little hands fly towards them, "Mumma's got a bad headache today bubs," I say to them all, "Best we keep it quiet for the day."
"Why?" Ophelia asks me.
"It's the baby," Freddie says matter of factly, "When yu's was in Mumma, she was gotten headaches all the time."
"She got headaches," I correct him as I sit down with the three little goblins, "Babies do funny things to a Mumma when they're inside her."
"Ya panfakes not as good as Mumma," Ophelia says to me.
"No niiiiiiiiiiiice," Cassie says to her sister.
"Li' Daddy panfakes, no niiiiiiiiice," she says as she sinks her teeth into one of them. Why I even bother putting forks on the table for these three is beyond me.
"Is baby comin' soon Daddy?" Freddie asks me.
"Baby should have been here a long time ago according to the doctors," I tell him.
It's true, when we went to the doctors, they told us the little nugget was expected in July. And here we are August 12th and still no baby.
"Wan' mee' 'em," Ophelia says with her mouth full of pancake.
"Be pee-tee-n-t LeLe," Cassiopeia says to her sister.
"No pee-tee-n-t," Ophelia snaps back, "Wan' babi!"
Freddie looks at me and sighs, shaking his head as if to say 'what are we going to do with these two' before looking at his sisters and saying, "Babies are not all fun like yu's think."
"You think," I say softly.
Freddie nods his head, "You think. Babies means Mumma and Daddy suuuuper busy with no times for you to be cryin, or blowin' things, or nothin,"
"I li' blofin' tings," Leah says, "Makes goo' noise."
"See Mumma?" Cassie asks me as Leah and Freddie start arguing about which one of them is better at blowing things up.
"Finish your breakfast and we can go check on Mumma," I say to her.
She looks at her half-finished pancake on her plate, considering the offer that I just gave her before nodding her little head and ripping off a chunk with her grubby hand and stuffing it in her mouth.
"Shop today Daddy?" Freddie asks as he helps me clear the table. He comes over to me at the sink, carefully balancing a plate on either hand.
"Not today I don't think bubs," I tell him, "Rosie's got a bad cold and Uncle Ron thinks that Hugo's getting it too so he's gotta stay home with them while Aunt Mione goes to the Ministry. And with Mumma not feeling great today..."
"I can help," Freddie says as I take the plates from him.
I pick him up and place him on the counter beside the sink so he can watch me do the dishes, "I know you can mate, but I'm not sure the girls will be able to help out as much as you can and I don't think I can look after all three of you by myself."
