***A/N*** Hey everyone! Sorry my uploads are so inconsistent! I've been working like mad recently and I don't have much downtime these days! I'm doing my best, thank you all for being so patient with me! Warning for this chapter, it's a bit sad and mentions the idea of domestic abuse so please be kind to yourselves and don't read it if you feel uncomfortable. I'm working on a George POV now so hopefully that'll be out in the next few days. Till then! xx

"Mummy da phone is wingin," Darcy says from the sofa. He's got his favourite toy, Mister Bear in his lap as they watch Peppa Pig.
I glance over at the phone on the wall, "Sure is buddy."
"You gon' make it stop?"
"It'll stop on its own."
Darcy turns around to look at me, "It Daddy?"
"No baby, your Daddy's not coming to get you."
"Sure?"
The phone stops ringing, "Positive. See? Whoever was calling must have realized it's not important."
Darcy, seemingly satisfied with that answer, turns his attention back to the telly.
It was definitely Travis.
He calls every other weekend, calls for hours on end to try to get me to pick it up, trying to get me to give him the time of day, trying to get his visitation with his son.
Like hell is he ever seeing my boy again.
Darcy doesn't know why he doesn't see his Dad anymore. He just knows that one day Daddy came by to see him, but he changed his mind and went back home instead.
Darcy doesn't know Travis hit me.
Not now.
Some day, some day I'll sit my perfect little boy down and tell him the truth about his father and what sort of man he is.
But for now...
For now, Daddy's busy with his new family and he doesn't have time for Darcy anymore.
Which is true, I mean, last I heard Mary popped out a set of twins, making that three little ones running around.
Bet Travis loves that.
The phone starts to ring again and Darcy looks over at it, "Mummy?"
"Must be broken," I say, taking a sip of my tea, "Why don't we pack Mister Bear up and see if Cassie and Leah are doing anything today hm? That way, once we are out of the house, the gnomes can come in and fix the phone for us."
Gnomes, that's the new thing for Darcy. Course gnomes are a real species, and definitely don't fix phones that aren't really broken, but living in a world where magic isn't readily available all the time unless we go and visit the Weasleys, Darcy's been having a bit of a hard time figuring out the difference between the wizarding world and the muggle world.
Hence house gnomes.
He knows gnomes are real, he's seen quite a few of them. But on the telly, gnomes are happy little guys that don't really exist.
I don't know, he's three, it's hard having to explain things to a three nearly four-year-old. Half the time I let him believe what he wants and go with it.
"I wanna take Mista Bear to the park," Darcy says, "Las' time we go to Cassie 'n' LeLe's, LeLe took Mista Bear's head."
"Oh, I'm sure Ophelia won't take Mister Bears' head again," I say to my son.
