Why won't these feelings go away..?

The Carnival

A couple hours later I heard Lucas's voice coming from the walkie, I picked it up.

Lucas: "Hey Mike are you joining us? We're going to the new carnival that just opened up."

Mike: "Okay, I'll be 10 minutes."

My mom dropped me off at the carnival. I walked in and saw everyone waiting at one of the stalls for me.

Max: "Look who's finally here."

They all turned around to look at me.

Lucas: "Dude, where have you been?"

Mike: "It didn't even take me that long."

Max: "It's been like an hour-"

Dustin: "Who cares, he's here now. So what ride do you want to go on first?"

Eleven: "How about that one?"

El pointed at a roller-coaster. We all agreed to go on that one first. Although, Will didn't look too happy about it. El went to sit next to me but Max patted the chair, so she decided to sit next to her instead. Will and I were forced to sit at the front of the roller coaster, which we both weren't happy about at all. Dustin and Lucas sat at the back and only a couple seconds later the ride started. At first it wasn't that bad but now we were at the top, preparing for the big drop. I turned to face Will but saw that he was shaking and clinging onto the rail. I grabbed his hand and suddenly he stopped shaking and turned to face me.

Mike: "Hey It's going to be okay, I'm terrified aswell."

Will laughed,

Will: "Yeah, I've never been good with heights."

Mike: "Oh no we're going down."

The roller coaster slowly dropped..
All of a sudden, we went crashing down at the speed of light. I screamed on the top of my lungs. Fortunately, the ride was now coming to an end. We all got up and I immediately felt light headed.

Dustin: "That was awesome!"

Mike: "WHAT? That was the worst thing I've ever done in my entire life."

Lucas: "Seriously dude? It wasn't that bad."

Dustin: "What are you talking about? You kept screaming the entire time."

Dustin and Lucas just kept arguing, so I turned around to face Will. But he was no where in sight..  I walked through the carnival searching for him until I finally found him.

Mike: "WILL! Where have you been? I was getting worried!"

Will: "Oh Mike! I-i just.."

I sat down next to him, placing my hand on his shoulder.

Mike: "Hey it's okay, I needed a break from the rest of the group anyway."

Will smiled at me and then began talking,

Will: "I've just been feeling down lately. I don't even know what the reason is this time!"

Mike: "And that's fine, I also haven't been feeling great lately either.."

Will: "Oh why?"

Mike: "Well, El broke up with me.."

Will: "Oh. Why did she break up with you?"

Mike: "It's because- well I don't actually know this time. I don't know what to do.."

Will: "Well. I'm sure you and- El will get back together.."

I noticed Will move a few inches away from me.

Will: "You should apologise to her and whatever she wanted you to say to her. You can say it to her then."

Mike: "But I-yeah. Yeah.."

We sat there in silence. I didn't know what to say to him. I sighed then sat closer to Will.

Mike: "I actually might not get back together with El you know. I've been thinking and it just doesn't seem like our relationship is working."

Will: "Oh! Are you sure?"

Mike: "Yes, Will I am."

A slight smile formed on Will's face but it quickly disappeared as he started talking.

Will: "I'm sure there's another girl who loves you."

Mike: "Oh. Who?"

Will: "I don't know. Maybe she's in your class who your friends with, and your really close to her.."

Mike: "Oh what girl am I really close to?"

Will looked down at the ground then grabbed my hand. I started blushing, and moved even closer to Will. He looked up at me and turned around to fully face me. We held onto each other's hand and leaned into a ki-

WHAT AM I THINKING! I CAN'T KISS WILL! I got up and walked back towards the carnival. Will quickly caught up to me and grabbed my arm.

Will: "Mike wait! There's something I need to tell you."

He isn't going to say what I think he is is he? NO! I slapped his hand of my arm and started shouting,

Mike: "WHAT IS THERE TO TELL ME WILL? Just let me go."

Will's pov:

I watched as Mike ran back towards the carnival. I stood there in shock. Why would I try to tell him? I EVEN TRIED TO KISS HIM! I've really screwed up this time. The tears in my eyes began leaking out. I'm so STUPID! I didn't seriously think for a second that he likes me back. He has Eleven now. He doesn't need me anymore...

Mike's pov:

I immediately started crying. GOD I'M SO STUPID! Why would I just shout at him like that? He probably hates me now. I always have to ruin every good thing in my life DON'T I? I sighed, what am I going to do now..?

Hii! I'm back. :D Sorry I haven't been posting lately but I've been really busy and I have lots of ideas for another fanfic so I haven't been thinking about this one that much. I suddenly got the motivation to write this soo I'll probably start posting more again :)
